The housekeeping staff was not very good at their job. There were items left on the floor behind the table that were not cleaned. And, the bathroom floor still had body hairs of previous occupants. I was not very pleased with that. Then my door keycard had to be reset every day.

Pros: Cleanliness and price. They also had a basic breakfast.
Cons: It was as expected.
Location: Close to mall and many restaurants.
We booked at this hotel because of price. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

My 3 nights at Super 8 Evansville East.Posted Aug 5, 2015 on Hotels
Comfortable and restful. The absence of a restaurant within the hotel itself was the only inconvenience because we didn't have our own car to move around easily.

We had just spent a long day at Holiday World and hadn't decided that we were going to stay overnight on the drive home until we were leaving the park. Booking was a breeze and from what I've seen of Super 8's, they didn't look bad. We got to the hotel and service was average, nothing extraordinary, but not bad. We got our room keys (2 rooms) and went to our rooms. I kid you not, the room was probably almost 100 degrees. We've traveled quite a bit and even in the heat of the summer and have NEVER had this problem! We quickly turned on the air and started to wait for a cool down. In the mean time, we took showers because we were hot and sweaty from the long day we just had, thinking that would help cool us off. Unfortunately, we waited for almost 1 1/2-2 hours and the room never cooled off. My husband went to the front desk to ask if the air was working properly and the attendant on duty said we needed to have it on the lowest (or highest) setting to make it cooler. It had been on the right setting the whole time, and still nothing. He went back down after another 15 mins or so and requested a new room. It was still hot and took a while to cool down (not the 15 mins the attendant said it would take) and thankfully was cold in the morning. Unfortunately this was almost 2 in the morning by the time we fell asleep. All in all, I would have rather we drove 3 hours home after a long, sweaty, tiring day, then stay at this hotel.
