Very nice hotel

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: Welcoming staff always ready to help and fluent in English (even French on occasion). Clean room with large shower.
Cons: Size of bed, especially in suites.
Location: Lots of things to do within a walking distance.
Nice place to stay with modern facilities. Interior parking, large suite included kitchen and lounge with TV. Beds are not King size, even in suites which was a bit of a disappointment. Breakfast was outstanding. Located within the fortifications but some distance from the centre (1km), yes a pleasant walk away. No dining facility but lots a options around. Our room gave directly on the patio where breakfast is served in the morning and where tapas and wine are served in the afternoon. It felt a it intrusive.

Boutique hotel with impeccable service and food

Posted Jun 5, 2017
Pros: Impeccably knowledgeable and gracious staff; exquisite healthy breakfast with huge assortment of foods, very comfortable and charming. Good location.
Cons: A make-up mirror in bathroom.
Location: Close to city center, train and bus stations, good restaurants and shopping. Quiet. Roman ruins and historical sites within walking distance.
Stayed one night as a side trip from Lisbon and it was way too short! The staff greets you with a glass of wine and a wealth of knowledge about local restaurants and things to do in perfect English. Room was traditional in design but modern in size and amenities. Very comfortable and can control temperature. Breakfast is to die for and I thought I would after eating so much. Fabulous organic foods, delicious tortes, made to order dishes! Also gave us a recommendation for an excellent restaurant that also serves organic veggies as well as great fish and local specialties. Easy walking to center of town and most sites of interest for those who like to walk. Would go back in a heartbeat and can't say enough good things about the staff and breakfast. Wish we could have had dinner / tapas there to taste their offerings.

Amazing hotel inside the city walls with parking

Posted May 21, 2017
Pros: Location, staff and food
Cons: the opening windows on the rooms were good for fresh air , but looked straight into the windows of other house windows across the narrow street
Location: Easy walk to city attractions
The staff went out of their way to be helpful. This is probably the best hotel in Portugal from the point of view of the wonderful home made food being served and the happy staff. It was a pleasant suprise to find a hotel within old city walls with underground parking.

A gem of a hotel

Posted May 16, 2017
The best hotel I've stayed in anywhere in Europe. The attention to detail was impressive. Everything was so thoughtfully aimed at making guests feel welcomed and comfortable. I'd go back to Evora just to stay at this lovely hotel!

Excellent service, outstanding breakfast

Posted May 10, 2017
Pros: The service was grand! Pretty place too. Great breakfast.
Cons: I can't think of a thing.
Location: Inside the city walls, so you are close to all the sites. Loved the Bone Chapel.
This is an attractive hotel within the city walls. The service is exceptional, everyone taking an extra step to help, be it his schedule info, restaurant recommendations and reservations, etc. rooms comfortable, and common areas inviting.

Best hotel in town.

Posted Apr 20, 2017
Pros: Large living room, kitchen and bedroom for $145. Super clean. Includes breakfast and parking. Staff wonderful!
Cons: Pretty much, perfect.
Location: Not much to do in the town. Needs 24 hours max, unless you want to relax and rest.
Stopped for one night between Lisbon and Narzare.
