An Oasis in the hot city of Evora

Posted Jul 25, 2016
Pros: The pool, the room, the staff. Amazing breakfast
Location: Very Central, 5 minutes walk to bone chapel or city center. Very calm residential area.
The building looks low key from the outside yet once inside a great experience starts, the staff is helpful and very sympathetic, the rooms are wonderful, cozy yet not too small, with a nice balcony, great bed and perfect bathroom. On the rooftop there is a great bar and cool infinity pool with very refreshing water, highly recommended in a city as scorching hot as Evora. The pleasure of drinking a nice ice cocktail, in the Jacuzzi, while overlooking the desert like surroundings and the historical center of the city is nigh on perfect. The breakfast, included in the room, is top notch, with the classic buffet selection topped with some very nice local products. It will be hard to leave without being completely stuffed.

Staff excellent, rooms new and clean and nicely finished. Could be in an architecture magazine.

Schönes Hotel mit sehr gutem Service

Posted May 16, 2016

Unique & Beautiful Hotel

Posted May 7, 2016
We loved the Vitoria Stone Hotel, from its beautiful decor to friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Rooftop terrace is definitely a bonus, the infinity pool is gorgeous. Short walk to the old city center and ample parking nearby if you're arriving with a car. Good breakfast in the morning too. Wonderful hotel, highly recommend!

Wonderful, modern hotel in a must-visit city

Posted May 4, 2016
Pros: See above.
Cons: See above.
Location: Get yourself a personal guided walking tour through trip advisor or Rick Steve's PORTUGAL guide. The city is rich with history, art and architecture.
The only reason I did not give the facilities a 5 was that my sisters said they heard the pipes rattle in their room much of the night. I did not hear them in my room. The hotel said it was not usual, but that it did happen. We liked our rooms and the wonderful service. They kept our luggage until 4 pm the next day and ordered us a taxi to the station long after we'd officially checked out. The breakfast buffet on the 4th floor was full of choices and the infinity swimming pool and sauna on the 5th floor with a view of Evora's medieval perched city was delightful.

Unique Decor

Posted Apr 30, 2016 on Hotels
This hotel is decorated in a unique and interesting style using stone and glass. Even the corridors are interesting, and there is a small rooftop pool. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The room design was inefficient and had little counter space, but it was very pleasant. The neighborhood looked questionable at first, but we walked to and from the historic district with no problem.

Convenient to central Evora

Posted Apr 27, 2016
Pros: Convenient location with easy parking and only a short walk to the major sites in Evora.
Cons: No specific complaints.
Location: Evora is a charming walled city with both old churches as well as Roman ruins. The neolithic sites nearby were interesting.
The hotel is located about 5 minutes by foot from the walls of historic Evora. Parking was free and adjacent to the hotel. The hotel has a modern decor with small but efficiently planned rooms. The beds were comfortable but the view from the balcony was unremarkable. The adjacent neighborhood appears safe but is not historic. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. We were pleased with the choice and would stay here again.

Look furthwr

Well, a happy hour with 2 for 1 cocktails looked enticing - it's just that Vitoria Stone hotel don't consider a gin and tonic a cocktail. Also it's good if the hotel receptionist says hello or welcome when a guest a drives.
