I absolutely loved the spa, however, I was given some incorrect information when booking my services. I was told that the body wrap didn't include massage, so I booked a massage as well. After my massage, I went on to the wrap to find that it did include a massage. I could have saved a considerable amount of money if l had been given the correct information.

This was a pretty hotel with a lovely room. It was clean. The lobby smelled like a spa. My problem with our stay was our room was not ready at 3 when were supposed to check in. Thats fine, things happen but there was also no where to go to wait. The bar was not open, the coffee shop was not open. We waited in the lobby for a while but decided to head to the town and wait there. We left our number with the front desk and headed into town. There was 1 bar open, and we waited there until 4:15 when i called them to see if the room was ready. It was, we got a text right after I hung up. Maybe this sounds petty but this was a little more than i usually pay for a hotel and i would think that they would at least put out the effort to make you feel welcome. It was during the week and they werent that busy.

The bar was really fun. Great drinks. Three Owls was good. Service was awesome. Our room was clean & the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was small & the room was small for the price. The staff was so friendly & we really enjoyed a nice, quiet, relaxing stay.

The indoor pool and hot tub require traversing several sets of stairs, which was inconvenient for my wife who has physical limitations. The Sunday brunch buffet was a little disappointing, for the price; as was the service. However the dinner and desserts we had that night were excellent. Otherwise, we were very pleased with our stay.

Pool and spa area was filthy. Access to amenities was inconvenient to say the least. Unable to secure dining on premises. But, if you are into alcoholism this place is for you. Parking was nonexistent. This was due to a wedding party. I am disabled. All handicapped parking was full of non handicapped vehicles. What a joke! Pricing: Expedias pricing was $100 more than what i coud have received booking directly myself. There was one positive experience: The the bed was comfortable. R, Chet Denton 8166655849.

Our Favorite Retreat
While my husband and I have visited The Elms many times, this was a fun getaway for my daughter and I. We enjoyed all of the amenities at The Elms including the fabulous spa and the BEST ghost tour given by Jay. Not only was the ghost tour full of surprises, but it was a wonderful reminder of the historic significance of a local landmark. The staff was all very friendly and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was exceptional.

The Elms was a perfect get-away spot for a January weekend! The accommodations were lovely and the staff were amazing. Night at the Elm
We stayed for 2 nights. The only complaint that I had was that there was no refrigerator in the room. I had a standard king. Other than that, the stay was peaceful enjoyed the indoor hottub and lap pool. Did the ghost tour with Jay. Very entertaining.

The Elms is a destination. We checked in on Saturday and didn’t leave the property until Monday when we checked out. Service was impeccable and so friendly. From Shawna at the front desk to Jay who did our ghost tour and night desk, everyone we encountered was helpful, friendly and top notch. Loved Jay, his stories and “hunting” on our own.

Ghost tour felt extremely rehearsed and nearly all points were the guides personal anecdotes that were reminiscent to a child seeking attention. The idea is good but the delivery could be greatly improved.

Pros: 1) The public areas of the hotel are quite impressive. 2) The memory foam king size bed was very comfortable, the best we've seen in any hotel. 3) The housekeeping staff was attentive, knocking on our door to see if we needed anything. 4) The history of the hotel is unmatched, and the grounds are beautiful and very walkable 5) The on-site restaurant does a great job both with the food and with making guests feel at home. Cons: 1) There appeared to be minimal staff devoted to checking in guests. For example, as a historic hotel it lacks the automatic doors at the front, making the process of getting a rolling luggage rack out of the building and back in again a bit cumbersome. When we arrived, no one on staff was watching the entrance to assist guests with this task. 2) Rooms were rather spartan, lacking normal features such as a mini-fridge and microwave, and -despite plenty of empty floor space - any chairs beyond the simple desk chair. 3) The basement level indoor pool deparately needs more railings to ensure that guests can get in and out of the hot and cold tubs safely.

It is an older hotel with a lot of history. The spa I felt was a little overpriced, but was nice. I'm glad my family spent a few nights there.

My husband and I celebrated his birthday at the Elms. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, lots of history and great service. Our room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed. This is definitely are you go to place for the weekends.

Great staff and inside was very clean. Unfortunately our windows looking out all were covered by birds doing their businesses. Due to the area being so limited in options to eat unless your willing to make the 20 minute drive to Liberty you only have the 3 Owls resturant to eat at. Staff here was fine but the food didnt deliver on expectations and price. As for the spa the Grotto was nice as well as the area you wait for the staff to come get you for your treatments.
