Nice friendly clean hotel, good location

Posted Dec 17, 2016 on Hotels
To visit the Brandywine Valley area (Longwood Gardens and Winterthur Museum) the hotel was perfect. Rooms were perfectly fine, not luxury but clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. But the food and service, although friendly in the restaurant was terrible. Appetizers and dinner came out together and we had to ask to order drinks twice. Stay in the hotel but do not eat in the restaurant.

Nice Hotel Close to Attractions

Posted Dec 5, 2016
Pros: The location
Cons: Update the style of the rooms.
Location: Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Franklin Mint and a few wineries.
Hotel was in a good location, only few minutes from Longwood Gardens ,Kennett Square, lots of antique shops. Check in was fast and easy, staff was very nice. Beds were comfortable and there is room-service available. You also get complimentary breakfast.

equivalent/not better than larger chains

Convenient upscale dining at Hotel at high prices. Inconvenient: No low end food for snacking or lunch. Management must institute Hazard Training.

A very good hotel near Longwood Gardens

Posted Oct 27, 2016 on Hotels
Chose this hotel for a visit to Longwood Gardens. This hotel appears to be an older hotel that has been nicely refurbished and modernized. All bathroom fixtures were relatively new and worked as they should. The bed was very comfortable, and the room included a desk, an easy chair, a luggage rack, a nice closet, an ironing board and iron, an in-room coffee maker and a hair dryer. The free breakfast buffet had a nice variety of egg dishes, waffles, pancakes, breads and muffins for toasting, hot and cold cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee and tea. A restaurant is available on the premises and many other restaurants are within a 20 - 30 minute drive.
