"Exceptional staff with attention to details; they were very accommodating & eager to help & communicate. Like many places in Turkey the only obstacle is the language barrier. People are fantastic & the staff, Adam & Gallup (sp?) here was no exception. Breakfast was the highlight of our day. This was by far the best breakfast in all the places we stayed in Turkey. Each day there was some different dish. We couldn’t eat it all because of the volume. The room was clean, shower was good with no water issues though shower floor was quite slippery when wet. "

"Very close to the old city centre: the main mosque, the castle, the gorgeous Pond of Sacred Fish and oasis-like centre of the town. Views in the morning and evening were wonderful. The hotel is being expanded so building works and the bathroom needed tidying up, but otherwise kind staff, extremely comfortable room, delicious breakfast and wonderful driver, Irfan, who took me to Gobleki Tepe and taught me (some) Turkish. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astarte in Sanliurfa. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the museum, the castle, and the Pool of Abraham. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning traditional decoration that creates such an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was gorgeous, comfortable, and very well maintained. Breakfast was amazing, with delicious options to start the day, and the personnel were truly great—warm, helpful, and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!"

"Staff was over insistent. They even made reservation for you when you explicitly ask not to. I suspect they have a finder's fee for a couple places around."
