great place as a base

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room. Near beach and modern shopping centre. Traditional bazaar over the road.

hotel convenient for KISR in Al-Ahmadi

Not cheap. Laundry prices are outrageous. Food is good. Nowhere to sit in the sun (except by the pool early in the day, as the architecture / design places the pool in shadow almost all the time, and the noise of the a/c tower by the pool is very loud.) Parking / road is very poorly laid out. HUGE (300,000m2) mall under construction next door. Hotel will have direct access. Sauna and steam room (separate men and women) are fine, but nowhere to sit / relax afterwards. Al-Kout centre (shops, restaurants, cafés) by the sea is just a few minutes walk away. 32 tailor shops and about 6 hairdressers (2KD) across the road.

Lovely hotel. Noisy building site next door.

Very nice hotel. Excellent bed. Noisy building site opposite was a bit of a distraction at night. Falaki restaurant could be better and offer the full a la carte menu to guests not wanting the buffet.

I enjoy my stay for a weekend in Rotana, hotel staff was superb, very helpful.

Noisy

There was a lot of construction noise. The noise startedat 3 am so it was impossible to sleep.

Good for business not leisure

It was good hotel good services but far away from sightseeing and most important places. Also the noise moving through the building to the room from the ceiling and wall. Pool was good kinda in size and not that much for tanning.

Had a bad experience at check in, as a vip hotel and im a gold expedia member, they didnt consider anything. After complaining they gave me an upgrade, but why after complaining, they should have done it before i say anything! Bad location.
