No Northern Lights Viewing Rooms!Posted Nov 20, 2015
Pros: We were picked up from the airport, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was adequate.
Cons: Dust was a flying and construction was going on in the lobby throughout the day and evening.
Location: The location is perfect if you enjoy being close to the airport.
We prepaid over 200. per night for our Northern Lights Viewing room which upon checkin was really 99. per night. We were told while at The Alpine Lodge the extra amount was for a tour which was not mentioned on the website. The room just faced the North. We had to go 56 miles away to finally view the Northern Lights. While we were satisfied with the tour of the Ice Museum and Chena Hotsprings, we had been fooled into paying 230. per night for a Northern Lights Viewing room that we thought would allow us to watch the aurouras from our bed. The young girls at the front desk were helpful.

Being RemodelledPosted Nov 18, 2015
Pros: Staff, location.
Remodelling limited facilities but good location for airport and public transport. I'm sure it will be great when the remodel is complete.

Good locationPosted Nov 2, 2015
The vents in the bathroom was extremely dirty. The room was not cleaned one day at all because it was after 4 and I was back to get cleaned up for dinner . Someone kept taking the do not disturb sign from the door and it was not replaced.

The hotel has a lot going for it. The staff are very nice, and the free shuttle from the airport is great. The breakfast is handy, as well. The bad thing is you need to take a taxi to go anywhere.

close to airport.Posted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: shuttle service was pretty good, close to airport.
Cons: see above
Location: na. I live in Alaska, so just needed to fly out
The sheets looked like they'd been slept in, all wrinkled. The shower head was barely reachable, didn't move to accomodate. Didnt give me the wake up call as I requested. The AC was so loud, it woke me ea. time it engaged. The hotel little resturant served the worst sandwich I've ever gotten , then charged me 14.00 for it, service wasnt much better.

They made it so easyPosted Sep 26, 2015
Cons: More coffee.
We reserved our room a couple hours ahead. Flew into Fairbanks AK at 3am. Everything was ready when we arrived, only had to sign. Front desk manager was great with instructions. Room and beds were very comfortable and clean. More coffee for the morning would have been great-one decaf and one regular. Checkout was easy. Front desk manager gave us a map and info about breakfast, grocery store, where to pick up a fishing license. Would definately stay here my next visit to Fairbanks!

Great hotel and close to the airport/gas stationPosted Sep 20, 2015
We took a late flight from Seattle and arrived at Fairbanks at 2 AM. We don't know they have shuttle standing-by 24 hrs so we dragged all out luggage all the way down to the hotel.. Friendly reminder that if you arrived at the airport late, just call them and they will send out a shuttle for you. The rooms were fairly clean, but the sheets felt like sandpaper. Don't know if it's just our room. Has a large parking lot and free wifi in the rooms.

Very basic 3-starPosted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: comfy bed, spacious room, easy access to airport. Cons: common areas did not feel clean, room cleaning was not thorough or regular, breakfast choices were dismal. The sign out front advertised new ownership and management, perhaps that is the reason for the poor standards. I'd strongly recommend paying a little more and staying elsewhere.
