Appreciated the mini fridge, but I was hoping for a microwave in the room. Also the TV service is terrible. Local cable channels glitching and dropping dialogue. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful!

The buffet breakfast was a great start to each day. Breakfast was always your basic hotel style scrambled eggs with some sort of bacon or sausage and cold potatoes and the typical stale danish… not complaining just saying how it is which is actually just fine with me given the time savings it affords you not having to go find a place for breakfast every morning.

Very friendly staff. Restaurants are walking distance. Tours are able to pick you up from here. Very clean rooms and lobby. The only sad thing was that the store was closed until the day after I left. The AC was also blowing at me when I was sleeping but you can adjust it. Overall I’m glad I picked this hotel. It was very clean and close to things in town that we wanted to go to.

Very clean, amazing views from the 6th floor. Great breakfast and dining hall in the mornings. Enjoyed our two night stay here. Would definitely stay when in Fairbanks again!

Both of our evenings the TV was cutting out and pixelating. Apparently this was blamed on the cable company. With the thermostat at it's coolest setting, it was still too warm in the room. The carpet had a stain right in the center of the room. Personnel were pleasant and the breakfast was nicely done. Apparently the hotel is owned by the tour companies who may be putting profits above customer satisfaction, a short sighted approach. When we checked out I listed the deficiencies noted during our stay and the agent wrote them down but said any discount or compensation would have to come through Expedia. I purchased travel insurance when I made my reservations. I am not sure if that is any help or not. Considering that we paid about $300.00 for off season rooms I expected better. So here I am communicating with Expedia. Is there anything that can be done for us? Tom

Confusion on no shuttle. The hotel called a taxi, but when he showed up he was rude and said I’d have to call him. Tried to ask a question but he just rolled up window and drove off. He WAS supposed to pick us up. Called the hotel and they got another. Very hellpful staff. One last thing is there was a false fire alarm at 8 am. Learned something never take a room above 2 stories. 8 floors is along ways to walk down the stairs in the emergency with wet hair. In shower. They handled it well and when we asked for an hr late check out it was honored.

I would have give this 5 stars, but the toilets have turbo flushes. It sounds a gun firing. You can literally hear everyone’s toilet being flushed all night long.

The night staff members Antoine and Daniel went above and beyond to make me feel welcome! I was coming in from a late flight and did not arrive till 3 am. They made sure we had everything we need to make our check in a smooth process and continued to check in on my family the remainder of our stay. They made great suggestions for activities for the kids and gave insightful advice on how to plan our time there. It was such a relief to have been greeted by their smiles after a hectic day at multiple airports.

Overall is a good option considering you are right in the center of the town. For tourists especially, the pickup and drop off by the tour companies seem easy. The facility and breakfast are okay, we were there during a busy week, hotel is fully booked and the insane line to get just 3 warm food options(omelette, sausage, and fries) seem ridiculous, and after that you couldn’t even find a seat! Had to share table with other ppl or just sit in the lobby. The room is clean with some wear down signs of the carpet and bathtub. The soundproof is not great, so you can hear ppl talking loud or kids running around in the hallway.

We were within walking distance of downtown, gift shops, and restaurants. There are bus stops very close as well. I felt safe having to use my key card to get on the elevators, gain access to certain areas. What I did not like: the ac took 13 hours to cool down the room from 78 to 68, it struggled the whole time. The cleanliness of the shower area was kind of gross.

Upon arrival we were greeted & checked into a great room on the 8th floor pretty easily. Unfortunately, once we got into the room it was a freezer. We cranked the heat up & waited. After about an hour it just got colder. We realized it was blowing cold air, not hot air. We immediately notified the staff via their “text” option they have posted all over the room. Someone named “Earl” assured us someone would take care of the issue, so we waited…. And waited…. In our coats under blankets literally freezing…. And waited… no one came; they stopped texting & responding to us. After about 30minutes of waiting with no response to our texts, I decided to call. The phone is answered & immediately placed on hold… so I wait. Eventually someone comes on the phone & states that no one was notified in maintenance of the issue, that Earl “got busy with other things” and we were basically forgotten. We said at this point we just want a different room (keep in mind it’s -30 outside as well) so without heat the room gets cold fast! We were first told we could not be moved rooms… we refused to accept this & asked for another room. Eventually we were moved to a room on the back side of the hotel, 4th floor. We requested for management to contact us. We stayed 2 nights & did not hear from management at all. Incredibly disappointing. Our “new” room was toasty, thankfully but very dirty. The trash cans did not have trash bags, there was hair in the bath tub, on the sinks & counter!

Everything is good except the breakfast, there are very few option, no bagel, no toast, a lot less than basic continental breakfast in other chain hotels.
