First, I have to say there are limited choices of hotels in Fairfield. Unfortunately, I will not be back to this one. Check-in was fine, and the lady was friendly. However, the room was very worn. Even before entering the room the door was damaged. There were black hairs built up in the corner of the bathroom, and soap scum on the wall of the shower. Gross! To top it off, we booked for two nights. The second day we left at 10 am and returned at 9 pm to find our room had not been cleaned. I went down to the the front desk and was given fresh towels and an apology only. We only tried breakfast the first morning. It was 8:45 on a Friday, and they were already out of eggs and bacon. Lots of flies around which is odd for December. Dining area was unkept and not clean. We did not even attempt to eat there the second morning. Sorry, La Quinta, but you missed the boat on this one.
