Friendly,clean, but under construction

Pros: clean and quiet
Cons: A return of the good breakfast
Location: Fairfield is very close to the Napa Valley
The staff was friendly, and the room was clean, but the breakfast area was undergoing a rehab so we had to go to the adjacent hotel for breakfast. I didn't think this breakfast was nearly as good as the Staybridge we experienced outside of Chicago last year or the one in Herndon Va 3 yrs. ago. However, we will continue to use your hotels unless we feel that we should really give your competitor, Springhill a chance.

Undergoing renovations

Our room itself was fine, but the hotel is currently undergoing renovations. Breakfast was served in the neighboring hotel, which is also undergoing renovations. I realize that hotels cannot control the actions of their guests, but there was some hallway noise and sounds from the guests above that detracted from our stay.

Nice hotel

We were touring colleges in the area. This hotel was convenient, reasonable and the rooms were very spacious. The staff was excellent. The rooms were clean. The happy hour each evening was a nice perk as were the breakfasts. The only down side was the construction going on. I have to say the staff did a great job of making sure the construction wasn't bothersome. Parking was an issue because less spots available due to construction. Overall nice stay. We booked an extra night even.

You hear the footsteps next floor and flushing of the toilet.Room set up close to bathroom too!

Overall a good experience. Very happy. Only negative was no parking close to the entrance- the Hotel was doing renovations and all the spots were taken by the construction workers.

Nice room

Check in at 4, room was not ready until 5:39. Needed a box of Kleenex, took 3 people to understand what I was asking for even though I had the empty box in my hand. Room was clean and comfortable. This was our second stay and it was not as good as our first. Customer service has declined.

Details...they can make or break a trip.

It would have been totally worth the price and a fantastic place to stay, except for the lack of attention to detail. The hotel is under renovations, but that doesn't mean you shortchange your guests on their comfort and your hospitality. The room wasn't ready until 2hrs after check in time. There was only one remote for two TVs (so one was stuck on a channel). We had to bring our own blanket up from the car so my toddler would have a cover on his pull out bed. There were no privacy curtains. And when we contacted the front desk to ask for a blanket and remote, they said they would give us one. Hours went by and I called them again and they said well we don't have a blanket and we fund a remote but it will have to wait to be programmed to the TV til maintenance comes in tomorrow. (We were checking out the next morning). Typically, Staybridge is my favorite but this one missed the mark.

Nice Hotel But Under Construction...

Would have got a hire rating but they failed to mention the hotel is under construction and no breakfast in hotel. They offer breakfast at the hotel across the parking lot, but not the most convenient. In the future they should post if the hotel is under construction so guest can be aware before they book. Our reservation through Expedia was messed up as well...we booked a double bed suite, but the hotel showed us as having a single queen. We had to wait until after five to check in due to this mess up. The hotel staff was very accommodating and courteous however.
