I paid for a two bedroom suite, so I could have a pool party for my daughter. I bought bathing suits and swim supplies, only to be told upon arrival that the pool had been out of order for an extended period of time. The kids were devastated. There was nothing stating that on their site and I specifically rented this room and drive two hours for the pool. Not cool

The property is dated but it appears attempts to remodel have been made. The greatest negative was the strong marijuana odor as soon as we left our room. We did not feel comfortable staying there due to the obvious drug use on the property.

Our property now has 3 of our 4 buildings (with the 4th building now underway) remodeled. We certainly appreciate your notification of the discomfort you experienced while as a guest at our property. Please know that as we are a non-smoking facility, once we were informed of this event, the offending guest was identified, removed, and placed on our Do Not Rent list as that is not tolerated at our hotel. No jacuzzis anywhere.
I booked this hotel because they had an indoor pool and jacuzzi. I paid more for a room that had another jacuzzi in the bedroom. Two days before my stay I was contacted saying they were having plumbing problems and my room was no longer available. They “upgraded” me to a townhouse suite. I explained that I had booked the room based on the jacuzzi. They apologized and said if the repairs were made in time, I could have the original room. But when I arrived it was clear it wasn’t a plumbing problem, it was a major renovation. Every room that had a jacuzzi was completely gutted. And the jacuzzi in the pool area was empty and inoperable. I expressed my disappointment to the man at the front desk. He just shrugged and told me he there was nothing he could do because I had booked through Hotels.com. Instead of a refund I asked if there was anything like maybe a bottle of wine or something. He said no. I explained that had paid more for the jacuzzi room. He tried to say the room I was getting instead was an upgrade. But it wasn’t for me. It had a second bedroom up a scary spiral staircase that I didn’t need. And the staircase took up so much room that the usable space in the room I was using was limited. And “renovations” in my upgraded room must have been limited to carpet squares over uneven flooring and a new headboard. If you’re planning on staying here call first to see what is actually available because it’s still showing the jacuzzi rooms as bookable.

The room was clean and of adequate size. The staff was very nice.The water from the faucet was brown when you first turned it on. There were ants on vanity. The bed had a metal base that sounded as if someone kicked a metal barrel every time you moved.

Awful!!! Want a refund
I’ve asked for a refund. The first room we were put into did not look anything like the picture of shown so I requested to move. I was put into a room somewhere to the picture that was shown, however, it was filthy. They were fecal matter on the side of the tub, the bottom of the tub was dirty, there were marks on the sink counter spots of something red on the floor in the bathroom, poorly renovated and just uncomfortable in general. Not to mention the partying going on above and the man, puking outside of our room.

Non-functioning shower (yes, we tried everything; did not work!) Filthy, dirty, dried up washcloth found under sink in cabinet, how long it was there is anyone's guess. After 7 years of staying at this place for a single night each year, extremely disappointed in the condition of the property. Did not appreciate being doubted by the young woman at checkout when I told her of these concerns.

This hotel is very outdated. The bathroom faucet was falling apart, the tv worked when it wants too. The room smelled like smoke eventhough it's a non-smoking. There's only bagels, waffles, muffins and cereals for breakfast. I don't think I will stay there again

Beautiful grounds and very friendly staff. Room was very clean. Had a small issue with the tub that they were unable to fix while we were there but otherwise excellent. Would stay here again.

Holiday getaway
We arrived to an empty white claws can with cigarette butts at our door. Needless to say I didn’t want to go in, but we did and it smelled disgusting. I went to the front desk. Due to a room having maintenance done, we were able to change rooms after a few hours. The staff is extremely nice, but the facility leaves a lot to be desired. Would NOT stay there again…even for free!!

Wish it could have been better
I really wanted to like this hotel. It has a lot going for it: a good location, a friendly staff, a nice looking pool. However, there were too many issues to ignore. The outdoor pool was cloudy and had an extension cord running alongside it. The indoor pool was okay, but the hot tub was empty. The room was partially in a state of disrepair with ceiling cracks, holes in the wall, and cheap looking construction. The hallway smelled like garbage for most of the day (no smell in the room though). The breakfast was just okay. On the positive side the bed was comfortable and clean and it was quiet. We slept well, but ultimately I wouldn't book here again unless they make some major renovations.

just an overnight trip
overall it was nice, but the faucet on the jetted tub was loose, I only got hot water and warm water, and the water in the indoor and outdoor pool seemed cloudy. The value was not worth the price that I paid for the room. However, I did have a restful and quiet night. The bed was very comfortable.
