Unique location with spectacular views of the water. The restaurant is really nice as well. The only real issue for us was that on the first night, the room we were given had a window that was stuck in the open position. This would normally not be a major concern, but there is a VERY loud train that runs directly next to the hotel several times each night, and we slept horribly. I was kinda bummed that they didn’t bother to offer us any kind of compensation for that. $300-ish is a lot of money for a crappy night of sleep. Despite that situation, our overall stay was a pleasant one, and the vast majority of the staff are attentive and accommodating.

This stay was our second time at the Chrysalis. We will definitely return. Rooms with views are remarkable, the setting is beautiful--right on the bay--, the staff great, the restaurant good.

Liked how it was close to the walking pier in Bellingham. Disliked how the hotel wasn’t that clean. We heard running water all night and there is a train track right next the hotel. It literally sounds like the train is coming through the walls and that’s with earplugs. For the price there’s just as nice places to stay in Bellingham where you’ll actually be able to sleep through the night.
