Friendly accommodating staff

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Cleanliness in rooms. Not terrible, but not stellar. The breakfast was OK, nothing memorable.
Location: Convenient to the subway with the shuttle. Drove into the city easily on Sunday morning. Other days would be a different experience.
We knew we would be arriving before check-in, but were hoping to leave the car and catch the subway anyway. We called the night before and were assured it would be no problem to park the car and catch the morning shuttle to the subway. We arrived almost too late for the last ride of the morning. They were great. We did not check in, but the driver waiting for us to get organized, and we arrived in time to catch the train. The return was just as easy. We called from the subway and the shuttle arrived promptly. This was all before officially checking in. This all made the trip flow beautifully!

Only saving grace - relatively central location

The bathroom was not properly clean; the "hotel" was not even close to ratings/comments I read before booking.

The place smells terrible. A motel 6 is more luxurious. Very hard beds. Stained bed covers.

affordable hotel near DC

Pros: Staff were very pleasant and helpful
Cons: Breakfast is just so-so. Instant oatmeal, cheap pastry, OK eggs, mixed fruit usually empty.
Location: Chinese and Thia restaurants and CVS in walking distance
Room was dark. One floor lamp fell apart when we tried to move it. Slight musty odor. The AC leaked causing a large wet area on the floor. The lamp and AC were attended to and fixed within 30 min of our complaint. The shuttle service to the Metro is limited to 7AM to 10AM and 3PM to 7PM. We had to drive to the Metro parking area which is usually filled by 8AM.

It is disappointing to hear your guestroom was not up to our standards - the room you are describing warrants an "off market" status so we apologize you were ever placed in this room. The shuttle service operates M-F 7am-11am & 5pm-9pm and on weekends from 8am-11am and 5pm-9pm. The front desk agents should have done a better job relaying accurate information to you. Thank you for bringing this issues to our attention and we hope to see you in the future for an improved stay.

Almost Home away from home

From the day we walked in, to the day we checked out, our experience at the was extraordinary. The Staff Ms Badam, Tony, & Ms Lindsey performed extremely courteously, caring, and customer oriented. Their smile and greeting were both warm and welcoming.From the Staff to the amenities and historic yet elegance deco this hotel deserves a 4 star in it's class. A more cushie pillow top mattress would have been nice. Overall we so enjoyed our stay. We even made another reservation and stayed one more night before we left town.

Convenient for visiting family

Clean room too soft beds .staff lovely.we reported socket for bedside light had fallen out but no one came to repair.potentionally very dangerous if small children around. Why all the throw away plates cups and cutlery at breakfast? Breakfast food good with fresh fruit.
