This was a stopover location prior to travel home

Pros: Convenient breakfast off site
Cons: Everything!! Chose lodging due to room rate/location to family
Location: Not applicable
Lodging was dated; bathroom fixtures old; light bulbs didn't all work. Convenient to Bentley's Restaurant Continental buffet was terrible Would not recommend this location to others!!

This building has been around since the early 1950s, and while many renovations have been done, it still retains much of its original vintage charm. I do apologize about the light bulb that was out. Please alert us in the future and we will send over maintenance right away to replace it. I am sorry the continental breakfast was not to your liking, and will be sure to have a conversation with the breakfast staff to make sure everything is being stocked and up-kept properly, as for many guests, the large selection at our continental breakfast is one of the pros of their stay. Staying overnight

Pros: Free breakfast was good!
Felt like the room was moldy. Had trouble with nose clogging and sore throat.

Location worked out very well for us

Pros: Appeared to have good ownership who cared about your satisfaction.
Cons: Well this an older facility but it appears it is being taken care of. Rooms could be updated as able.
Location: Location was great! the shuttle to the metro was timely & worked well for our needs.
We were very satisfied with everything except with the continental breakfast area. Could be fixed up very nice in there. Lots of room. Needed some updating & cleaning. Food was not on warmers so was close to room temp. We were given passes for breakfast in restaurant next door which was very good. The staff at this motel was very helpful & pleasant. We would recommend it to friends.

This motel has been around since the 1950s, but renovations are done in an ongoing fashion, whenever we are able, in order to keep the place as up to date as possible. Great location

Pros: The staff was very accommodating and the room was very well maintained.
Cons: The decor needs to be updated; Some of the furnishings seem to be retro 1970s especially the popcorn ceilings and the dressers.
Location: The location was great since it is centrally located to all points of interest and nearby stores.
The only complaints I had were that the door was difficult to open that was probably due to a warped frame and the pillows were too small. The air conditioner was very noisy.

I apologize about the door--the inside of the door frame was incorrectly painted during one of our recent renovations, and we are in the process of removing it from the doors as quickly as we can in order to resolve the issue. Also, sometimes our A/C units become noisy after heavy usage, but the problem is easily resolved if they are internally reset. Please let us know if you experience this problem in the future and we will send maintenance your way to resolve the issue, or switch your room if you so prefer. Door was hard to open but everything was clean. The lady at the front desk was very nice.

Tired facility, pleasant staff

Pros: Friendly staff, good dining options nearby.
Cons: The facilities are dated and need to be upgraded/remodeled badly.
Location: Excellent Vietnamese food and live music venue walking distance. Short drive to very nice Irish pub for a pint and a bite.
Spent a week and a half at this hotel for a work trip. The property is definitely dated; however, the staff are friendly and attentive. I ordinarily stay at Hilton properties, and the staff here is much better than any I've experienced at Hilton. The price is right at under $100 a night. Tough to find a cheap room in NOVA that isn't frightening. I recommend this hotel if you have a limited budget. It's not the Embassy Suites, but it's pleasant enough.

Older Hotel, Needs Work

Pros: Room was quiet.
Cons: TV, plumbing, breakfast
Location: Business trip, but there are restaurants and shopping within a short drive, and short drive to the Capital.
50s style motel, good air conditioning, old plumbing fixtures (slow leaks), comfortable bed and pillows. TV remote did not change channels first night but they fixed it for 2nd night. TV came on at 2:49am and 6:49am while I was sleeping both nights, even after complaining. Great breakfast restaurant Bentleys next to the motel!

John, while the 2 rating is disappointing the failure of us to correct the TV issue warrants it. I spoke with the staff and it seems since the upgrade to satellite we have 14 rooms with this issue (particular model of tvs we have. I'll be contacting our service provider to correct this as i can't figure it out in programming). But I appreciate your bringing this to our attention. I sincerely appreciate the time you took in the review to give guests a breakdown of the property- as an independent the reviews help set the expectations and ones such as yours are extremely valuable. Not so much

Pros: not much.
Cons: the carpets should be cleaned and the bathroom updated.
It was pretty on the outside but the room was old and the tile on the tub looked like it was moldy. The beds were not comfortable and the carpet felt dirty and sticky. It was farther away from the airport than was advertised so the taxi was expensive.

Thank you for the feedback........I've shared this with housekeeping and asked them to watch the bathrooms for any signs of mildew. I also will check on the sites to try and see where an airport is listed wrong. I know on our site it has google maps - but will check all expedia affiliates. Thank you for the heads up.
