Accommodating staff

Pros: LOTS of parking. We had a truck/trailer, so this was nice.
Location: 9 Pizza across the road was really good!
We arrived about 9:00am and had no where to go until check in time. They got us in rooms even though we arrived WAY early. After an all night drive, it was nice to be able to shower and nap until the rest of our group arrived later in the day.

Staff was helpful and accommodating. Hotel is old and needs renovation/improvements. However, the room air conditioning, fridge, and microwave were all in great shape and worked perfectly, and the beds were very comfortable and felt like new. The breakfast buffet was good (hot food - eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, cereal), not great, but included with the cost of the room. Overall, a good value for the amount paid.

Pretty run down.

Our bathroom smelled like old urine. The hallway and stair carpets were all very dirty. There were large holes in the carpet in elevators. But the staff was great, and the pool was fun.

beautiful hotel

Pros: The price was very reasonable. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff kept it refilled.
Cons: We had a very enjoyable stay. Thank you. The only thing I would change, is the fact that the bar was closed.
Location: The river walk was very nice.
Very nice large, clean room. Hotel staff was efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Older hotel with comfortable facilities

Pros: Room size and facilities
Cons: The breakfast selection was limited, but still they did have a free breakfast.
Location: Go to Chaco Canyon National Park if you have the time.
Hadn't stayed in a Red Lion for 15 years, but this one reminded me of past times. The hotel has the older luxury items like conference facilities and a great indoor pool area. Unfortunately, the economy of Farmington has suffered from the drop in oil prices, and the business travel is way down. Rooms were clean and large.

Under new management/misleading information

The whole purpose of staying here was the fact that they had a bar area that was close to the indoor pool, but the bar area was closed completely. There was no advertisment providing this information other than being disappointed when we tried to enter the bar. We were informed that the hotel was under new management and undergoing a liquor license renewal. I wish expedia would 've had an updated status with the hotel standing. Not staying again.

Substandard

Pros: Nice people
Cons: Remodeling and attention to mechanics would help.
Neither the room air conditioning or the phone worked. The nearby elevator was closed because of construction, the elevator we used had a dirty rug, and it was a long walk to the room. We didn't stay there. After seeing the room, we decided to forfeit the cost. We drove to the nearby Courtyard by Marriott and were able to get a room for the night. On the other hand, the house staff was very nice to us and I have no complaints about the personnel.
