We found cockroaches in our room. The 'pond' behind the hotel had a lot of trash in it. Even though we paid for a non-smoking room, both bedspreads had cigarette burns in them and the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke.

Very noisy even at midnight. Could here all activities through every wall and ceiling. Smelled horribly of cigarette smoke despite “no smoking “ signs everywhere. Burn holes in bedding. Nasty deposits on the furniture that had clearly not been wiped or cleaned. Shower head absolutely disgusting. Extremely poorly kept facility.

Dont stay here the staffwill try and and steal money from u ...i stayed one night and put up a hundred dollar deposit and wheh inwemt to leave the guy at the fesk tried to keep some of my deposit ecausw there waaacup lefy on the nightstamd ans that was the only mess That was made And he still tried to charge me money so I went back to walk to the room with him and told hima to dare though I wasn't wasn't doing that so

Didn’t like anything! It was a place to stop for the night. If I knew how bad it was going to be, I would have stayed somewhere else. Smokers with big dogs at the entrance. Disgusting and my wife battling cancer, as we are on our way to Mayo in MN for surgery. Had to carry our service dog to get past them. Was asked what services my service animal performed, which is against HIPPA and completely rude! FAA doesn’t even ask questions like that and I was asked both when I checked in and when we checked out. The rooms appeared clean, but the amount of chemicals used to cover up smells was nauseating and gave me a headache. The bedding had stains and holes all over. Cigarette burns in the carpet of nonsmoking rooms. “Free breakfast” was definitely not worth staying there for. Prob the worst hotel bfast I’ve seen. Make your own waffles was the best part. Lol Bad looking fruits, Frosted Flakes and Raisin Bran cereal choices, only yoplait strawberry yogurt, white bread, and the “orange juice” was nothing more than a cheap version of sunny D or Tang, not remotely juice! The coffee and accessories was awful as well. Only used styrofoam products but had a microwave??? Anyway, probably one of the WORST hotels we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at some bad ones!!! NOT RECOMMENDED and may prevent me from ever staying at another Wyndham hotel in the future.

The entire place seemed ran down. The cost of the room was too much in comparison to what was offered. The staff was hard to understand in the room was mediocre at best. I suggest if you need to stay in Bonne Terre, you stay at a nearby town not at this place.

It had a notice sign on front door and at front desk that stated "fire alarm system had been compromised and they are actively working to fix it." Wouldn't give me refund b/c I was not comfortable staying in a hotel that allows smoking in rooms and the fire alarm system was inoperable. It wasn't until I was on the phone with the fire department to confirm safety requirements for hotels did they finally gave me a refund. Place smelled like smoke upon initial entry and I smelled like smoke when I left the hotel. Will never recommend.

Pros: soft towels, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Cons: run down, dirty, plugs so loose none of them would hold a charger, plug in bathroom didn’t work, lamps were falling apart, switch on hair dryer was broken, fridge not cold, pool under repair.

Plqce was nice enough for the price. The queen suite, was just 2 queen beds, there was no couch, no table. Paid $10 more but the only thing i think was different is the room was bigger....but the extra furniture was removed. Very nice man at check in. Strict on no pot smoking there.

I dislike having to write a negative review but in this case I would be doing a disservice to any Expedia member if I failed to disclose the facts. It started with checkin which took 15 minutes and not because there were other people in front of me. Then I was told my room was on the second floor all the way at the end of the hall but I had to use the stairs by the front desk. I was traveling with an elderly person who has respiratory problems so getting up the stairs was a feat in itself but my issue is management prohibited us entering up the stairs through the other stairway in the building which was closest to our room. We could have parked at that entrance and carried the luggage straight up to the room but instead we had to lug the luggage all the way up the stairs and down the hall all the way to the other end of the hall. They had a sign on the other entrance stating it was an exit only and anyone attempting to enter would be evicted and deposit/room fees forfeited. Once we made the 5 trips with our luggage we realized only 2 of the 6 lights in the room worked and the bathroom light was so dim you couldn’t find the lever for the toilet. This was most likely because they didn’t want you to see how utterly filthy the room was. We booked in for 2 nights but checked out the next morning using the entrance they tried to prevent us from using!

The property is a standard Super 8 motel, but it is well kept. The price was something like $70 a night, so it would be hard to complain. The place seems to have everything we need. The front desk was very accommodating, even though we checked in at about 11:00 at night.

Almost impossible to find at night because they didn’t turn their sign on and it was ticked away from the street. Checked in, they put me on the 2nd floor with no elevator halfway down the hall. I tried to use the back door to make a shorter trip unloading but the card reader did not work. Then I saw a drug deal going down in the parking lot. Next, the instructions on the a/c unit were worn off so bad that you had to guess which position of the knobs was correct.The hot/cold knob just spun completely around with no stop to tell you what you were actually. Then the other knob refused to shut off at all. The carpets there are filthy and the furnishings are waaay out of date. The mattress was good.
