Hi Nancy, I must apologize that you ran into issues during your stay. I tried to look up the reservation using just Nancy, but nothing is pulling up. May you contact the hotel directly to speak with manager. If I am not available please leave your name and number so I can address this directly. Thank you!

Hotel was very much neglected. The rooms were very dated and worn looking with furniture, carpeting, and bathroom. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. The bathroom was falling apart, the sink not fully attached undercounter and facings hanging. Smelled of urine. Found hair in shower, and pink mildew. One of the grossest hotels I have ever stayed in. Should be torn down and rebuilt.

Dirty, needs to be bulldozed

Posted Nov 6, 2017 on Hotels
3 police cars in parking lot upon arrival, check in was fine, door on hinges crooked so big crack at top of door, old and dirty, no plug ins, moved nightstand to find plug in and found goldfish crackers and toe nail clippings, dust an inch thick behind fridge, no iron, sloping floor in bathroom, old spring mattress, noisy, walls so thin you could hear people snoring next door and sneezing, woman sitting in parking lot in a van, creepy

Sorry that you came upon such conditions, however the police being at the property was not related to anything regarding hotel or its' security. I have shared your comments with the cleaning staff and management has gone behind the cleaning staff to assure these items are no longer being neglected. Thank you for your feedback. .

Hotel needs lots of work!

Posted Nov 5, 2017
Pros: It was close to our destination.
Cons: Update, clean, paint, attention to details
Location: Lots of great dining options, Longwood University, Green Front Furniture
We were greeted by a hotel staff upon entry but she was distracted while checking us in by a friend or another person there talking to her, not working. The lobby had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We then obtained our key, went up exterior steps that were in rough condition and entered a cigarette smoke smelling hallway. We entered our non-smoking room which had such a strong air freshener smell you could taste it. There were water stains all over the ceiling, toilet was running non-stop, trash under one of the beds (near headboard and bedside table), terrible repair work done in bathroom that made it feel half finished, and super uncomfortable beds. Thankfully, there appears to be a new hotel being built down the street. This is one of those times where it is not worth it to save money. Spend more and stay elsewhere.

Run down hotel in need of complete renovation

Posted Oct 16, 2017
This old hotel verges on disgusting. Hotel staff can only clean so well to cover up the soiled carpets, stained tiles and moldy bathroom. Everything about this hotel is awful. And I overpayed for it all because of high demand in this college town. Awful experience.

Filthy, Party Hotel

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Would not recommend to anyone, room was filthy... so much so we were afraid to eat the free breakfast. People partying outside the rooms all night, loud and obnoxious.

Literally, the worst place I have ever stayed.

Posted Oct 7, 2017
The room was gross and had one towel. There were bugs and the room smelled awful. At night, there were men hanging out outside of room having a party who i'm pretty sure were not guests . Never again.

Under the brand standard our king rooms are required to have 2 sets of towels and the 2 double bed rooms are required to have 3 sets. Extra linen is available if you contact a guest service rep. We do our very best to minimize noise at night for all of our guest and loitering is prohibited. Any concerns could be handled if we are made aware of. Extermination/Pest Control is handled by outside contractor. Typical pest for this area include: flies, lady bugs, stink bugs, wood roaches, water bugs, ear wicks, moss, etc.

You get what you pay for.

Pros: It was available.
Cons: Clean the carpet and make sure the cleaning crew are doing their jobs.
Location: Close to Walmart and many restaurants.
Upon checking in the front desk person was polite and informative. When we checked into our room, I immediately we noticed the dirty carpet and the trash can still had trash in it. We were in town for a wedding, so it served it purpose, but I will not be back there.
