Handy hotel for beach & airportPosted Mar 12, 2017
Cons: update of room furnishings
Rather old fashion rooms, perhaps a little cramped, good location, friendly staff, breakfast fine and dinner good and reasonably priced

Pleasant hotel in great locationPosted Oct 16, 2016
Pros: Being next to the beach and estuary - a great location. Also near the airport for ease of travel - 10 minutes gets a traveller from airport to hotel
Location: Half an hour bus trip to Faro. Beautiful beaches and walks beside hotel
Furnishings are fairly old fashioned, but everything was very clean and comfortable. Nice touches like fresh fruit and water in the room. Reception and waiting staff are friendly and helpful.

Great location but needs improvingPosted Aug 24, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel us a great location for the beach, great service, very friendly staff and even gave out towels and beach umbrellas to loan for free. Breakfast was ok for 5 Euro each, dinner was okay but best try some of the cafes in the vicinity. Negative points are that the hotel generally needs an upgrade, beds were old and uncomfortable and extrem creepy every time you turned over. Additionally, room cleaning service tended to be a bit lazy, completed by mid afternoon, which for a small hotel was too slow.

Faro IslandPosted Jul 8, 2016 on Hotels
After a week in Lagos for a wedding, how delightful it was to spend a full day and a couple of nights just relaxing on Faro Island. Hotel Aeromar is a wonderfully retro kind of place. Very quaint in a funny way! Family owned hotel and all those I met were very pleasant and extremely helpful, as were all of the staff. Great night in 'a Cabana' bar/restaurant directly opposite hotel. Be sure to visit Edgar & George and the rest of the family and enjoy great service and hospitality. If you like to be close to the beach, see the picture! I'll be returning for sure!

Aeromar HotelPosted Oct 25, 2015 on Hotels
The Aeromar is 30 years past it's sell by date and needs to be totally rebuilt. It is over priced for what it is and has no facility other than an ancient tv with no English channels, restricted WIFI (in reception areas) and a restaurant, breakfast was average and not in the price making it aboutv 60 Euro for a couple for the night. The room was out of the 50's and so was the bedding. On the plus it is in a great location for early flight connections and long walks on beach / watching the sun go down, the beach is great. The area is run down and mainly beach huts. The restaurants nearby were over priced with a very low standard of cooking (dare I say the cooks were not Portugese) - at least in the 2 we tried. In summary - you can do better else where - we had great value and quality at the AquaShow Park Hotel.
