High cost for adequate accommodationsPosted Jul 23, 2016
Pros: Convenient location, comfortable bed, large room, carry-out coffee cups. Front desk lady working the afternoon-early evening shift - very helpful.
Cons: Housekeeping. Price - it's too high for what you get and for this area.
Location: FT Bragg Skibo Road is where the decent restaurants are - a few miles south of hotel. Cedar Point Restaurant for breakfast...absolutely top-notch.
I needed a hotel convenient to FT Bragg. This hotel is approximately 10 minutes away from the nearest FT Bragg gate with no turns (straight shot south down Bragg Blvd - very easy to find, even for visitors who have never been in the area). The rooms were clean enough (when the housekeeping staff cleaned them, which was every 4th day), and quiet enough (though this was due to neighboring rooms being polite and respectful to each other...the walls are paper-thin). The WiFi works well, and the shower has excellent pressure (though it doesn't allow much leeway for adjusting the water temperature...usually a bit too hot). The linens seemed clean and the AC worked. You could skip the breakfast without missing much, but at least they put something out for the guests. They had carry-out cups with lids at the coffee station, which is a big bonus if you are in a rush. There is a refrigerator in the room, which is a must if you are planning to stay 3 nights or more. Some of the staff were absolutely wonderful while a few others couldn't have displayed a more disinterested attitude in serving customers if they been top graduates of Juilliard School of Acting majoring in "the I'm bored and you're bothering me look." Overall, an acceptable stay but a bit too expensive.

Can't go wrongPosted Apr 27, 2016
This hotel was first rate for it's category. The staff was great. The room (a double) was small. I prefer the rooms with a separate sitting area. The room was clean and the furnishing was current. The breakfast was decent.

Not worth the moneyPosted Jan 26, 2016 on Hotels
We stayed at this hotel because our power was out due to a winter storm. It was close to our neighborhood and we figured that it would be nice since it is a Holiday Inn Express. In the first room, there was loud noises coming from outside and when we checked to see if the window was open, it fell off. We were given a new room and the front desk staff person didn't act surprised about the window. Overall, most of the staff was nice. The rooms need to be updated. The heat took a long time to heat up the room. There were hairs on walls of the shower so it wasn't cleaned the best.
