love staying here ,

Pros: love the fact that you can WALK to a GREAT restaurant/sports bar right on the grounds,Great food and people,It would help if your a W.V. sports fan jk
Cons: carpets
carpets in my room still needed replaced,But I know there working at it ,Nice job on the room remoldels

Nice, quiet cozy place. The bar and restaurant are set up nicely.. Have stayed there a few times before and will again I'm sure.

Good hotel near the New River Gorge.

Pros: The room was clean and up to date and the price was right.
Location: Near the New River Gorge. Great location for visiting and site seeing.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the prices were great. Only stayed one night but will be back.

Nightmare Hotel

Cons: Everything.
Location: White Water Rafting
Checked in. Got room cards. Room cards did not work. Had to go back up to the desk and get the Hotel employee to re-re scan the cards. Spider webs as you walked into the room. There was no dead bolt on the inside of door (was holes in door where there used to be one). Went to the "Bar & Grill" and it was very noisy. My wife ordered a steak and it came out like a piece of shoe leather. Had to send back. Waitress said something about being frozen?? The pillows were a "SMIRF" size. The Shower curtain was loose and kept opening when you took shower. My wife and I went out for the next day (gone all day). Came back to hotel and the room was not cleaned. NOT ONE BIT. All of the towels we used in the morning were where we left them in the bathroom. The beds were not made. Absolutely terrible. My wife was horrified.

It Was Awesome!! Everyone Was So Nice and Friendly. The Rooms were Great and Super Clean. The Breakfast was Super!! A Lot More Than I Expected. Will Definitely Stay Here Again And Suggest This Hotel To Everyone!!

Gauley River trip

Great restaurant for dinner...don't miss their homemade chips.. very good breakfast included in the room price. . The hotel has made some noticeable improvements since last year . great having a laundromat there to dry clothes. all and all it feels like home. We go their every fall.

Not a great start, but...

The room I was given smelled bad. Turned out there was a urine smell from the carpet. Don't know how the cleaning staff could miss that. However, front desk was quick to provide me with another room which was fine. When I inquired about places for dinner, the front desk provided me with a list of restaurants in town and some recommendations. Apart from a bad start it was an okay place to stay.
