Good place if you can not find another hotel!

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was OK, the kids liked the pool and the other staff were friendly
Cons: If they improve the condition of the room and ensure that their employees are customer driven, it can be a nice place to stay the night
Location: In the middle between Washington DC and Savannah, and there might be things to do there but we just had Domino pizza (nice!, & the kids used the pool
One of the worst stays we had over years with is mainly caused by the (night) manager who was arrogant / rude / not customer driven and the cleanness of the room. By fault, Expedia made us confused, we booked a smoking room although non of us smokes. Explained that is was a mistake, but no we had to pay a $11 pay additional fee for a non smoking room although the rates for smoking / non smoking rooms were identical. We tried the "smokers" room and know understand we even smokers re-frame form it.....it has a huge terrible smell when you only open the door! So we took the "more expensive" smokers room. Regretfully was old and, most important, not clean and even contained some local uninvited (flying / walking) guest. Went to the front desk to complain about the TV, did not swish on although we tried everything, and the dirty filters of the airco. Again the manager was arrogant / rude, "you seems to be a person that always complains"....which we actually never do, but accompanied me to our room. The TV was not working....he found out after some time it was plugged in to the wrong (lighting) switch, and confirmed the airco filters were dirty and those would be checked the next morning. However the rooms are outdated / falling apart and not really clean.if they improve that and ensure that their employees are customer driven in can be a nice place to stay the night.

It was a bad experience, I didn't like the idea to make the first floor as smoking rooms and the second level is for free smoking area.

Thank you so much for sharing with us, although I'm not aware of this particular incident I would like to state that every room type with the exception of accessible rooms are available on both levels of the hotel. Again our apologies if this was communicated effectively.

Stopped halfway on journey between PA and FL. Convenient to highway & restaurants. Nice staff, decent rooms and pet friendly.

Average place for short stay

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Staff and breakfast
Cons: Needs upgrade on windows, they are really old. Provide more than one plug point for charging electronics.
Not much to complain and not a great hotel either. Its okay for short stays. Enough room size and okay bed. Better bed and cleaner stairs would add value.

Only if you have no other choice

The mattress was lumpy, the room, while clean showed it's age. There were lightbulbs missing from the lamps. This looks like a hotel that is on its last days

Messing around with my money!

Posted May 22, 2015 on Hotels
Don't stay here! I stayed here on 3 occasions for work, 3 nights, 3 different trips. First week, no problem. Second week after I left $100 was being held on my card even tho I paid in full from a 3rd party site. They said "Oops, don't know why but I will release it" and they did. Third and final week on the 2nd night of my stay $132 was being held on my card, even tho I was paid in full thru a 3rd party site, I called and they gave me an awful attitude first saying it was to secure my trip. I explained I was paid up, then was told it's there policy to hold it and they would release when I checked out. I told them it wasn't even the same amount and it wasn't held the first 2 weeks. I had nothing in writing from them that it was going to be taken out and they said they didn't have anything to give me that said it would be or that it would be released. Next I had two $1 charges withdrawn from my account before I ever checked out and I didn't charge anything. At check out I asked for something, even a hand written note stating my money would be released and the $2 charges returned to me. I got a nasty attitude, an argument, a lot of lip smacking but a hand note about the release but not the $2. I got my money was released but no refund or explanation as to why $2 was withdrawn and not returned to me. I wanted a cheap place to put my head while I worked in the area but I will gladly pay more for a place that I feel the employees aren't messing around with my bank card!

We do sincerely apologize that the deposit hold amount wasn't completely explained to you. We value all of our guest and we take pride in making sure all information is secured properly. The system is designed to release the hold upon check out for whatever reason it didn't, to manually release a charge we have to force a $1.00 onto the card in your because it was two charges it was $2.00 but I assure you we refunded that along with the hold back to you. Again please accept our apology for not fully explaining these procedures. Please give us another opportunity to in the future we do apologize for this isolated incident!
