Nice hotel

Posted Sep 19, 2016
Pros: Location, cleanliness, hot tub/pool area
Cons: The carpets in the hallways are looking tired and need to be either repaired or replaced. They are buckling in some areas which could be a hazard
Location: Close to downtown and shopping district. Also playground right across the street if you have little one.
Very pleasant experience. Good value for our $$. Close to downtown and shopping.

Decent place, and quiet despite being on the highway.

Nice hotel in a quaint town

Posted Jul 8, 2016
Pros: Great location right off the highway and fantastic Staff.
Cons: Air conditioner was a little temperamental but the Front Desk said they would look at it for the next guest.
Everything was great. From the Front Desk staff that greeted us with a smile and friendly conversation to a room that was fresh and clean and recently upgraded. Certainly I will be back.

Nice - solid hotel. But potential for noise.

Posted Apr 16, 2016
Ask for a third floor room at the back. It's on the highway so the front rooms can be noisy. And the inner rooms face the pool and atrium which could be noisy in a busy time of year. Thin walls. Really nice staff. Nice rooms. Decent facilities - nice pool , a bit of a gym... A few blocks to downtown...

Exceptionally nice staff on the desk and in the restaurant. One improvement would be the shower/change/sauna room by the pool - it's 1 room and unisex. Difficult for people to take a shower before using pool and hot tub - a shame because the pool was excellent.

Central hotel in Fernie

Posted Mar 23, 2016
The hotel is very easy to get to and is near the best restaurants in the town. Downtown is a 5 minute walk. The only downside is occasional noise around the indoor pool.

Great hotel for skiing weekend

Posted Mar 22, 2016
Location: Ski, ski, and ski. And eat sushi at the place across the street. AMAZING!
I stayed at Park Place Lodge in mid-March for a spring ski weekend. The hotel has an interesting layout in that all the rooms are built around a large central courtyard that has a pool and a hot tub. So to reach your room you must cross the pool area. Because THE POOL is really the focus of this hotel, there's a faint chlorine smell everywhere and it's kinda humid all the time. Also, the courtyard echoes. Everything is tiled and it bounces sounds everywhere, so people having a conversation in the hot tub seem extra loud when you're in your room. The good news for early risers is that the pool closes at 10:30 pm so you can sleep. But having said all that, it's actually a pretty good hotel. The staff are terrific; super friendly and attentive. My room was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Wifi was fine and parking was good. And the restaurant in the hotel is awesome; really good menu and service.
