Well worth the money

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Conveniently located, ground floor. No surprises. Decent breakfast
Cons: Nothing for the price we paid
Location: Surrounded by beauty but we had to keep driving to stay on schedule.
We arrived late and the room was waiting for us. It was clean and adequately furnished. The motel was on the main highway but our room was still quiet.

Nice homey place. No screens on windows. Why?

Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff. Hot tub and pool are nice. It was very quiet and homey feeling.
Cons: Put screens on windows and offer a better discount rate for no view out the window. And hair dryers in the room. and a coffee pot
Location: It is located right on the main road close to downtown, bike trails, and restaurants. Best coffee shop is Mugshots or Freshies.
We felt very much at home there. Why are there no screens on the windows. It is hot in Fernie in summer and you want to leave your windows open but there were no screens. Why? They need screens. Plus we were put into a room where the main window was behind a wall. So while you want to look out at the mountains, we looked at a brick wall. Disappointing. Staff were very friendly. Place was clean and comfortable but a bit rough.

The room wasn't terrible, it was clean enough, but the bed was TERRIBLE, and I am not a picky person at all. It was like sleeping on a floor, and my boyfriend needs to go to the chiropractor for an adjustment after spending the weekend there.

Hotel was clean, bed was good. Our room was right off of the highway so it was a bit loud. The staff were friendly.

Good place to stay for reasonable price.

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: Reasonable price and cleanliness.
Location: Location is on the main street through town and within walking distance to the downtown core. You are close to all restaurants and activities.
The staff was very accommodating and upgraded my room which was clean with comfortable beds and quiet. It is also close to downtown. I never used the pool but it looked to be a nice size. Good place to stay for reasonable price.

Great Motel in Fernie

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Hot tub, comfort of the room, location
Cons: Better shampoo
Location: Close to downtown restaurants and bars, short drive to the ski hill
As far as motels go, our experience here was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great (walking distance to restaurants and bars). The hot tub was one of the best I have seen in a motel. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a weekend of skiing and snowboarding in Fernie. It is a former hostel, so it has a shared kitchen and TV/games room for those that are staying for longer than a couple of days. The only negatives would be that it is a little pricier than I usually want to spend on a motel (but this would only have been a real problem if the quality was poor), there were no phones in the rooms and the shampoo was the worst shampoo I have ever used (bring your own).

Good location in central Fernie, its a place to stay with four walls, a roof, and a bed. Do you need anything more?
