Friendly atmosphere wonderful grounds

Posted Feb 1, 2016
Pros: Room was comfortable bed a bit smaller then we are used to.
Cons: we were there in the middle of summer and the pool was a bit to warm, need to cool it donw to make it more refreshing somehow
Location: see above
We didnt buy the all inclusive package which ended up being a good thing. Bought beers from supermarket up the road in Maui bay and duty free spirits which made the stay very affordable. There are three restaurants at the resort all of good quality and for a 10-15 FJ$ you can visit some great restaurants in the area at the Warwick and ECO restaurant to name a few. The staff at the hotel are very nice and welcoming. There is also plenty to do there with kayaking, paddal boarding, snorkeling, potonk, tennis etc all free. there is a really nice beachon the other side of the fijian village next door. Final tip taxi to the resort or private shuttle should cost between 35-40 FJ$ we have a small child and found a great private shuttle company that had a child seat.

Great hotel with lots of activities.

We recently stayed at the Naviti Resort as a couple and we loved it! We loved all the free activities during the day such as stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, pool volleyball, daily walks etc. The staff were all really lovely and helpful. We didn't get the all inclusive package, so our food options were not great and quite expensive but the two restaurants on site were delicious.

Great except for lack of communication.

Pros: Bar in the pool
Cons: Rooms looking tired Buffet very limited and a la carte menu very limited
Location: You are still a driving distance away from everything. No where to walk to especially in the heat.
Buffet was very tired and seemed like they only put half an effort in organising it. Staff was lovely and funny. Answers were only given when asked so more communication is necessary. Only found out about General Manager's cocktail party 10 minutes after it had started and only because I asked about the crowd gathering in the front garden. When our transfer was changed luckily it was to a later time as no one told us until 11.30pm when we were all sleeping. Overall it was a great stay for my partner & I. Having a bar in the pool was very convenient for us and being able to order food from the restaurant and have it by the pool was great. We achieved what we went to achieve and that was to relax and enjoy. That we did!!! Bulla and Vinaka Fiji

The food was terrible and overpriced. It is a one and a half hour drive from the airport and cost $120 in taxi EACH way. The hotel refused to organise any other type of transport. They overcharged us twice for Internet charges which are ridiculous and overpriced. They have a poorly set up internet log in service that is designed to bump you up to the next tier and charge you. They tried to charge me $80 for Internet charges the next day AFTER I had paid my bill and would not let me leave until I paid. I refused to pay $80 and only paid $20 but honestly I should have refused to pay at all. Some staff were nice, others couldn't care less and it was obvious. The shower had stains on the tiles and TV was small with bad reception. Once you are isolated at the resort you have no choice but to eat their food which is awful! We ended up buying two minute noodles and eating them in our room. I would never stay there again.

So much potential

As someone who has stayed in many resorts on the coral coast I have to say I was disappointed. There were great moments but very inconsistent. I ordered the same thing for lunch two days in a row and the meal were completely different (this happened more than once) The confusion and lack of organisation mean you miss out on that true Fijian hospitality because the staff seem frustrated. It took 4 phone calls over 3 days to get someone to fix our safe after it faulted. We were also left outside in swim gear for 20 mins while waiting for someone to fix our door and replace swipe cards (this was not the first time as you can see by the photos) Pay the extra for ocean view room, worth every cent. Talei and Bamboo Terrace were the only places we wanted to eat at because the food was of a lovely standard but be prepared to wait. At Talei for a main and desert we were there for 1.5hrs. Airport transfer was great $147 each way but air conditioned car and very safe driving. The resort is approx 1 hr 40 from the airport. Barter with the yellow cabs and you can get there for $120 Positives -Great movie channels -Efficient check in -Good air con -big bathroom with separate shower and bathtub -60 mins a day of free wifi anywhere in the resort -Great free activities - kayaking, paddle boarding etc -Quality gym equipment Negatives -Poor food selection at buffet -Staff do their best but I feel as a result of a major part of the resort missing due to fire damage the staff are somewhat

Food was average & night buffet overpriced, only one choice of wine by glass, which was not nice. Snorkeling was OK, much better at neighboring resort.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, inviting room. Friendly staff.
Cons: A more diverse food menu as well as ensuring staff are more well-informed. We felt excluded from New Years Eve activities for not eating the buffet.
Location: The resort is in a nice secluded location along the Coral Coast; which meant more privacy, but also longer and more expensive transfers off-resort.
Felt forced into the New Year's Eve banquet that we did not want, and did not have any other options due to confusion from reception staff the day prior. We felt excluded from NYE activities as a result as they all took place around the buffet. Our room was nice and well maintained however and most of the staff we spoke too were very friendly, even if sometimes unhelpful when asking for information. The food was occasionally good value, though the variety was a little insubstantial. The resort is in a nice secluded location along the Coral Coast; which meant more privacy, but also meant longer and more expensive transfers to anything off-resort.

Not a romantic getaway but good for families and lazing around.
