"Good hotel for people on budgets."
I'm glad I chose to stay in this hotel, so I could save money. I wish the doors would shut completely when I let them close.

"Great for all tastes"
Great hostel, very nice vibe, whether you want to party or not. I was travelling solo and didn't go there to party etc. and there was more than enough ways of finding quiet spaces to just relax. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, calling for me to make reservations and explaining where to find fun stuff to do. There were even families staying there! I'll def go back there if I'm in the area. Top hostel!

"Not for the discerning but not without charm"
This is a residential hotel. Very basic. I thought I'd paid for a room with a microwave and fridge but there wasn't such items. However, to be fair, I didn't say anything. This hotel is for budget travellers who are not fussy. It is not of a high standard but there are much worse. I got a room, tele, bed (lousy pillow) and the showers and toilets were shared. Don't be put off though-this hotel was value and had some kind of charm and in a safe place but if you are someone who has high standards it may not be for you. I was perfectly happy there.

"Close to everything and I do mean Everything!"
I was here on business for a week. The Hotel is situated 4 blocks from the trans america building and at the edge of Chinatown. The other side of the street is little italy. The hotel is quiet and is well taken care of. The beds are a little hard. The only downside is that one block away is the heart of the strip clubs/ gentlemen s clubs. If you are into that then it won't bother you. You can walk different paths to avoid it. Fisherman's Wharf is a 20 min walk thru little italy. Lots of good restaurants around.

Pocket Guide: San Francisco Financial District - Ferry Building Independent Hotels

The bulls and bears of industry tread the streets of the Financial District, home to the city’s tallest buildings, including the iconic Transmerica Pyramid. The towers give way to The Embarcadero, the broad, palm-lined avenue that begins at the San Francisco Giant’s AT&T Park and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. The road passes by the Ferry Building, a landmark transformed into an artisanal food market.
