Old building, old rooms but they’re doing work to it right now. It’s clean and in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I can’t believe what I paid to stay there but that’s San Francisco I suppose.

Amazing!

My sister and I received a friendly welcome at the concierge and were upgraded to a better room for free! They even brought us complimentary champaigne for her birthday! And it was near many shopping centers and China town! It was great!

Old and Dirty

Booked a Triton suit. I was told it was the best room in the house. Hotel and room had an old greasy vibe. Lots of stains and worn out furniture. Couch inside the room smelled like someone urinated on it. No city or street view at all in the suit, the windows faced the inside alley area of the hotel and the maintenance room. Suit was on the second floor of a 7 story building so all rooms above could look down into the room. I had really hoped to at least get a street view but that wasn't possible. Lobby area was limited due to winter construction going on. Overall I highly regret booking this hotel.

Adrian - I am sorry to hear about your guest experience. That is unacceptable. I know this doesn't change anything with your stay, but we are renovating the guest rooms extensively this year so we will have a completely refurbished guest rooms including the furniture across the whole hotel. If you decide to try out Triton again in the future, we would love to get you into a room with great city views. We apologize again and thank you for understanding.

Close to Chinatown and Union Square

Pros: Close to shopping
Cons: newer roll away beds
Location: Chinatown is on the corner, Union square is down the street
Booked what I thought was a King suit room with a pull out couch hid a bed for 2 adults and 2 teen girls, got a King room without the couch hid a bed. They did not have any rooms left so they brought in 2 roll away beds. One roll away bed was newer, the other felt like it was a box spring, it was horrible. I had to call and get another one and it was only slightly better, but since it was already late we didn't bother. The staff in the front were friendly and helpful. It could use new beds tho. It was close to every thing we needed. I might stay again, hopefully they get some more upgrades.

Nice hotel, close to everything!!

Although my flight was delayed, Hotel Triton did everything to accommodate me an extra day.

Great location

Connecting restaurant is cafe de la presse which has decent French food but no specials for guests. Breakfast was expensive

Worst sleep I’ve had in years + cockroaches

The only positive thing about hotel Triton was that the front desk associates were nice. Other than that, we found three cockroaches in our two night stay and getting a good nights sleep felt nearly impossible. It doesn’t feel like a bad area, but there were multiple loud fights on the street which woke us up. Also, a restaurant next door apparently does there bottle recycling in the middle of the night.. so that was absolutely AWFUL. I would not recommend staying. Also.. it just didn’t feel like it was super clean...

Caitlin- Thank you for your candid review. The news about the cockroaches is appalling. This is the first I've heard of that and thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will follow-up with housekeeping on this. I'm sorry to hear that about the city noise. We would've been happy to supply ear plugs or moved you to a room off of the street. We are renovating the hotel to a fresher look that will be completed this summer.

Nice location, clean and spacious room

Pros: Searched on Expedia
Location: Right at the gate of China town so Chinese food aren't far away. Middle of Financial district. Walkable to waterfront
Good location and clean room. Short walk to anywhere downtown and transit but still quiet enough at night. Downtown location so walking distance to financial district and 20 mins walk to waterfront ferry terminal
