Slightly Run Down

Posted Feb 20, 2018
Doing construction and as soon as you walk in the door it's dusty, narrow and sad looking. The front desk is propped up in the corner. The room was clean but nothing fancy. Furniture showing signs of wear and tear (repaired and painted over not professionally).

Great location

Posted Feb 19, 2018
It was a hassle free check in the receptionist was nice and helpful. They sent up complimentary wine for me and my hunny since we were there celebrating our Anniversary. This was a nice gesture from the Hotel. The construction didn't bother us it wasn't noisy well at least during the time we were there. We had the Kathy Griffin suite it was nice and spacious. The location of the hotel is great few blocks from the Bart and right across the street from the Dragons gate.

The hotel is completely different from the photos

Posted Feb 19, 2018
Pros: Expedia
All the staff members were pretty polite, that's the one positive thing I can say. The photos on Expedia showed a marvelous, exotic hotel with colorful and fancy decorations. It turns out that the hotel is under renovation so the actual appearance is like a construction site. I was completely dumbstruck when I arrived at the hotel around the midnight, I thought that Uber must have taken me to the wrong place. The floor plan of my unit is like a thin rectangle. My room is pretty long and narrow so that all the furnitures are arranged in a pretty awkward way. The first thing laid out in from of me when I walked into the room is the bed that was right in front of the door. The room is so narrow such that the TV is placed at the other end of the rectangle from the bed. They are not facing each other so you can't even watch TV on the bed. The worst thing is that the air condition is right on top of the bed and has very loud noise! It was cold in the evening of February so I had to turn it on in the evening to keep the room warm, but the noise was too loud to have a good sleep.

Thank you for the feedback, Kevin. Did you know that we do offer larger rooms and suites through Expedia? We have informed them of our extensive renovation, and we apologize if they failed to inform you.

Boutique hotel next to Chinatown and Union Square

Posted Feb 13, 2018
The hotel recently changed ownership, therefore, there’s construction going on in the lobby area. The lobby looks nothing like the website photos and they should be taken down. The lobby consists of a structure for a desk, some chairs and a fireplace in a tight construction area. The staff was professional and nice, but not all of them gave all the info you needed for your stay, WiFi code and that there was coffee/tea on the mezzanine level. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and still had the same fun decor as in the website. I was given a room upgrade when I checked in. Whenever I had a question the staff was able and politely assisted me. I would recommend this hotel, just don’t expect the lobby to look like the photos. Do your research because the price to stay there will vary depending on the travel site. Loved the location and easy access to transportation and places to see. Chinatown is literally right outside the hotel entrance.

The pillows are horrid, but otherwise this was a great hotel in the heart of the city. Located right across from the gate to Chinatown, great for walking around. The lobby is under construction but we didn't hear anything. Great value.

The bathroom had a slightly "aged" odor to it. Other than that, the room was comfortable and the staff was pleasant. Good location.

Noisy with cramped room; big city get-over.

Posted Jan 31, 2018
Good location and nice front desk staff, but that’s it. Super noisy, from Bush and Grant Streets. Hard to move around bathroom it was so small. Room carpet dirty.

Less than great experience!

Posted Jan 23, 2018
Pros: The front desks responsiveness was very good.
Upon arrival we discovered that the hotel was in the middle of a renovation. Plastic tarps everywhere. We were given a room with no hot water. We were then promptly moved to another room. The general condition of the room was old and dated. Would not stay here again.
