Always get a guide. Otherwise you will miss many opportunities of seeing wildlife at its best

We recommend visiting on a weekday because we went on a Holiday Weekend and it was extremely busy. However Iguana Tours split up the adults without kids and the adults with kids so we still had a pleasant experience admiring the wildlife and the gorgeous beaches.

Go early and definitely have a guided tour. Great beach at the end of the tour.

Stay on the main trail to the beach to see the most animals. During the dry season the waterfall is bone dry and not worth the hike down its trail. Take plenty of water and pack a lunch but keep it protected because the monkeys will take it. The trail to Cathedral Point is great and worth the hike. The wildlife in it's natural habitat is phenomenal. The beaches (Manuel Antonio and Espadilla Sur) are beautiful. The water is warm. Lovely area. BEAUTIFUL!

It will be crowded during busy season so be mentally prepared, it’s the most popular park in country for visitors. Also can't bring food in even if going to beach
