Mattress issue

Second Overnight

I happened upon this hotel this summer, and found it to be very comfortable. I was driving through the area and decided to stay again since I enjoyed it the first time I was there. There’s also a diner about a block away—great food and wonderful service.

Use Expedia , save money but get second rate room!

So being that I used Expedia I was put in an outdated room and listened to dogs barking all night!!!! I never realized that saving money by using Expedia would cost me the proper consideration of a normal customer .....completely dissatisfied! !!!!

This Hotel surprised me. It was very clean and the rooms super comfy. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. Located conveniently next to a gas station and next to Crackel Barrel!

Close to highway, clean and comfortable

Very pleasant staff. Close to highway and amenities. We have stayed here several times and will probably stay anytime we are in the area.

Wonderful hotel!!

Right from the beginning we were impressed by the property and the staff. Room was very well appointed and very comfortable. We will stay there again when we are in the area and I highly recommend the Magnuson to anyone staying in the Fishkill area. This is s class act!!

Wouldn't recommend, bed wasn't made to say the least. Charged double for the room which I found out from other guests.

Not what you want to find when you're dog tired

Pros: Convenient Location & off of highway access
Cons: Please ensure the rooms are really serviced/cleaned before allowing your clients into them. They are expecting a clean room.
Location: Lot's of restaurants, fast food spots, beautiful scenery, close to malls & theaters.
Check-in time is 3 pm. Arrived at 3:15. No rooms available - was told it would be a few minutes. Asked if there was any coffee available. Sure - as soon as a room was made up I could help myself to the coffee in the room. Got into room @ 3:45 - had coffee, but did not feel welcomed or valued. Got back to room 11pm after a LONG day. Pulled down top sheet only to find a stained bottom sheet and long hairs. Thankfully, two double beds in room - so slept in other bed. Mentioned it to the receptionist in the morning only to be met with the response: "so. you'd like your room serviced"? After that conversation, looked forward to a continental breakfast. Not a large variety, but okay. Needed to excuse myself to Staff who were blocking the small area while they were chatting so I could get utensils and napkins. Waited awhile for the toaster - no one was picking up their toasted bagels, After asking the Staff chatting if they knew whose they were (they didn't), the receptionist came in and pulled out her bagels. I get it - we all need to eat. But it seems very unprofessional when clients need to contend with the Staff for these breakfast utensils. I needed to get to a meeting; she needed to get back to her desk, and the Staff needed to replenish the food & utensils (that they made challenging to get to). Other room issues: paint scraped off wall in multiple places, the toilet rocked as not tightly secured to the floor, washcloth wrapped around sprinkler head (guess it was leaking).
