Definitely NOT a $70/night hotel

Arrived at ~6pm, one elderly lady at the counter, one customer ahead of me, took 10 minutes to get my turn, received a dry "hello" (yes, nothing like welcome, or how may I help you, etc.), problem with booking (they claimed that somehow expedia booked me 5 rooms instead of the three I had booked and unless I called and dealt with Expedia myself I will be charged for 5, showed them the confirmation email showing 3 rooms booked but she shrugged her shoulders and pretended as if she could care less...btw they did eventually fixed the issue). I commented about having had expected better customer service and she immediately became very offensive and kept saying "nevermind" to me on pretty much everything afterward. She would make a comment just to have me hear it but would immediately say nevermind to stop me from responding. I was handed 2 keycards for two of three rooms so that family could go up which is about the only nice thing that happened during the 30 mins of chaotic check-in experience. Rooms were outdated but clean. Some problems experienced and reported included: - slow toilet flush - main door hard to open and shut as it rubbed against the frame. - no room service in 2 out of 3 rooms as we stayed for two nights. - cold/hot water faucet knob in shower needs replacement. Breakfast was as expected but room was very small for 100+ room motel/hotel, crowded n no place to sit down. Checkout was speedy and was reminded that the 3 vs. 5 issue had been fixed. Thanks!

Great hotel especially for the price. Very clean and I enjoyed the breakfast. Super friendly staff as well

Old motel, but room is very clean.

Appearance of the building is very old, but room is well organized and very clean. Water pressure in shower is good, small couch is a nice to relax, and it has fridge and microwave. I would recommend this motel if you're looking cheap but clean room.

Cheats Customers

I reserved a room for 3 nights and only ended up needed to stay for 2. The morning I checked out I called the front desk to notify them I was checking out and asked what I needed to do about the 3rd night. The man at the desk said the card had not been charged and I would only get charged for the 2 nights I stayed. Later found out he did not check me out correctly and I was charged for 3 nights. I called hotel and they said I had to call Expedia and have them call to speak with a manager to get the refund. Did that and was notified by Expedia because I didn’t notify them 24 hours in advance I would not be refunded. I called the front desk at 8:00 am which was over 24 hours notice! DO NOT stay at this hotel and shame on you Expedia!! Wil never use either again!!!

Close to freeway

Booked a non-smoking room. Given a smoking room. Check in staff seemed not aware it was a smoking room, but gave me another one that was non-smoking.

Dog Friendly Non-Smoking Room

Pros: Dog friendly. Has a sofa and a table, the fridge was bigger than standard hotel ones, it's right next to Cracker Barrel, the front guy was nice.
Cons: They should change the room we stayed to a smoking room or the room next to ours to a non-smoking room.
Location: It's right next to Cracker Barrel, pretty close to the main area of Flagstaff, only 45 min drive to Sedona.
We chose a dog friendly non-smoking room with a king size bed. But, once we opened the door, we smelled nicotine and cigarette smoke. There was a connecting door to the next room which apparently is a smoking room. We realized that the cigarette smoke coming from that door which was closed, but the nicotine smell seemed to be stained in the room. We immediately called the front. He was very understanding and looked for another room but dog friendly rooms were all full. So he gave us extra bath towels to fill the gaps between the door and the floor. It helped a lot. But, we couldn't do anything about the top and the sides and still smelled the nicotine stain in the room. Also, we could hear almost everything our neighbor was doing. If you are looking for a dog-friendly non-smoking room, please call the motel and make sure it's not next to the smoking room with a connecting door. Other than that, we thought it was pretty good. The room we stayed had a sofa and a coffee table on top of a desk and a chair. The refrigerator was bigger than standard undercounter fridges at the hotels.The freezer part was working well, too. The front desk guy was very nice. And, this motel is right next to Cracker Barrel, which has a cute store attached to it, which I really enjoyed :)

Staff seems a bit distracted at times. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable but a little light on variety.
