Nice, cheap stay

Good location. Easily accessible from interstate. Only 30 min from Biltmore House. Very nice staff. Rooms were very basic but comfortable with ample space. Nice bathrooms.

Rude hotel staff and not pet friendly

Pros: The only good thing about this hotel was the big grass area outside. The couch and beds are rock hard and pillows are terrible and lumpy.
Cons: EVERYTHING. I don't know how the girl at the front desk ever got a job in hospitality with her unwelcoming, unaccommodating and rude attitude.
Location: Near the off and on ramp of major highway. About a 30 minute drive to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. 10 minutes to downtown Hendersonville
I travel about 5 months out f the year with my dogs and I have NEVER gotten any complaints about my dogs. Well I was not even checked into this hotel for 1 day (out of 4 nights) and I had already gotten a complaint about my dogs barking CONSISTENTLY. I have 2 very sweet and well behaved Pit Bulls. I booked a non smoking room online and when I checked into the hotel, they checked me into a smoking room which STANK of cigarette smoke. They moved me into a non-smoking room right outside of the breakfast/lounge/reception area. I asked them if they had any other rooms available as I did not want to hear all the consistent noise and have the dogs bark. They said. no. There was a lady who refused to walk down the stairs with my dog on the stairs and made me walk back down and take my dog off the stairs so she could walk down. She was very rude and had an attitude clearly about my Pit Bull. She was staying at the hotel with a bus load of other people. Needless to say that I had left my dogs in the room for a while while running some errands and when I got back, I had a rude note on my door saying that the front desk had had numerous complaints about my dogs not only barking but barking consistently. My dogs do not often bark never mind consistently bark. I was then told that I cannot leave my dogs unattended in the room. I asked them to move me to a different room and again they said no. I was there for work so had to leave them in the room. They barked twice when I was with them.

Road trip thru mountains

Pros: newer smell and cleanliness
Cons: working ice machine, WiFi as advertised and pillows without lumpy fill
Location: hiking, scenic byways, picturesque towns with quaint shops
Nice newer hotel great for the money. We were pleasantly surprised.

SMOKED FILLED ROOM

ARRIVED LATE, 11PM, COMPLETED CHECK IN AND TOOK BAGGAGE TO ROOM. UPON OPENING THE DOOR WE WERE HIT WITH CIGARETTE SMOKE, REQUESTED ANOTHER ROOM AND WAS TOLD NON AVAILABLE. TRIED TO OPEN THE WINDOWS AND THE WERE BROKEN AND WOULD NOT OPEN. hAD TO SEND CLOTHING TO CLEANERS TO REMOVE THE SMOKE ODER.

The room was clean and hotel staff was nice, but the room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. I told a couple of staff members, but nothing could be done.

Stinky room

I was traveling with children and they put us in a smoking room and said they didn't have any non smoking rooms available when I asked to change. Breakfast was unappealing.

Nice Stay

Pros: It was clean and comfortable and a good value for the area.
Cons: Our only complaint would be that the room was dark, since we were on the first floor right off the parking area, so needed to keep the curtains drawn.
We stayed at the Mountain Inn & Suites in Flat Rock while in the area for a family matter. The hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient to most of the attractions in the area.

Peace & quiet

Loved the quietness of the area. Missed having a pool, but it wouldn't keep us from coming back. Very nice place!!!
