Everything was above standards and I would have given a higher rating if we had a shower in the bathroom. There was only a tub and it was awkward to use. The towels were also a bit thin. Other than that, it was a good stay!

Martins's Klooster hotel in Leuven is a beautiful hotel and only a short walk from the main square. We loved its mix of modern hotel features but with converted attic bedrooms with wood beams. The staff were very helpful, and we were extremely happy that we stayed there.

Lovely room, clean and spacious. Only thing that wasnt clear was additional charges for breakfast and parking... so an additional €80 to pay. But to be honest it was worthwhile. Lovely breakfast, very nice staff, friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to everything you could want.

Our rooms were big and clean. Huge bathrooms. They were newly refurbished and very modern. The building had lots of character. Nice Bar. No in-hotel dining other than breakfast (we didn't use it), but short walk into the heart of Leuven where there are many restaurants. The staff were very helpful. This hotel is in the heart of Leuven so not recommended for driving (it's down some very narrow streets and close to the pedestrian-only areas which makes it difficult when you make a navigation error! It's very confusing as to which streets you can drive down.). The hotel parking was full and we were sent to an overflow car park a few minutes away.

Modern and updated property. We stayed two nights. The first night we were in a very cramped room with a super soft bed that creaked and there was dust on the bedside tables. We were moved to another room and it was much better - larger and bed was firm. There is no real view from the rooms (construction site) but was a quiet and pleasant stay. Front desk staff were courteous and friendly. Easy to walk into town.

The staff is very easy to work with. The breakfasts are great. The hotel is well-appointed, quiet, and within easy walking distance of the city center (2-3 minutes) as well as the train station (15 minutes).

Didn’t live up to expectations: hotel seemed a little tired; the wi-fi in the room was non existent; room wasn’t cleaned during our stay; tea/coffee making facilities were limited -cardboard mugs, no milk. Not worth the high price. Far better hotels in Leuven.

Found it odd that there was no restaurant.Found our double room quite small. Sloping ceiling meant that we had to duck on moving around, had to be very careful at night/ in the dark.Thought breakfast coffee could be improved. ( weak, watery)

The hotel was very nice. We got an upgrade upon arrival. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Plus, the room had a Nespresso machine with actual Nespresso cups. The quality of the coffee in a room is always a good sign.

We had a fine stay here. The room was small and simple but comfortable. There’s a beautiful green space outside and I like the bar vibe. The bartender was very friendly and when the fridge in our room wasn’t working, they stored my food overnight

The Martin's Klooster is a lovely, well managed hotel. Unfortunately, we stayed there during a restricted time and though I felt that the staff and hotel were quite wonderful. I believe that they could have made our stay better. We stayed at the hotel for 4 consecutive nights and weren't told when we checked in that our room would not be attended to due to the COVID Restrictions. We had to eat all of our meals in our room, request towels and other supplies and at one point requested the vacuum cleaner to clean the carpet. The chairs and table in our room was not optimal to eat meals at and because of this our room became messy very soon. I recommended to the staff when we were checking out that it would be better to switch rooms for extended stays for customers. If we were moved into a new room after two days that would have made our stay even better. But I did think that the hotel was smart, considerate and well managed. That the hotel was working to keep us staff and to maintain a safe and healthy environment for their staff, which we appreciated.
