Great hotel, very friendly staff.

Pros: Location, great place for a relaxing care free holiday.
Cons: Airport shuttle would be good rather than a taxi.
Location: Right on the Indian Ocean and great beach, very peaceful.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in, staff were fantastic, the food was amazing and the hotel location right on the beach was excellent.

upgrade needed

Rooms need a serious upgrade. Buffet food was terrible- half board was a waste of money. Resuturants available on site are average to poor. Hypoallergenic bedding was shocking quality. Pillows disgusting. Not the 5 star resort I remember from earlier visits. Access to the exclusive beaches is the only good aspect. Wifi slow. Netflix not accessible.

Even though the hotel was running at very high occupancy during your stay, there should be no excuse for a breakdown in service and I will ensure that appropriate training and supervision are implemented with our waiting staff and at the same time we will reinforce the service team with additional staff and supervision to return the standards back to normal in the shortest delay possible. The hotel to stay at for your wedding anniversary

Pros: 1. Nice wedding anniversary surprises 2. Great service 3. Amazing adults pool 4. Tasty food 5. Sandy beach and nice sea view 6. Room upgrade
Location: The hotel is about a 10 minutes' drive to a shopping mall which has a supermarket and a few other shops. It is just under 1h drive to the capital
We had the most amazing time at Sugar Beach Resort in Mauritius. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and mentioned this when filling out the check in form. Nicolas and his team went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay an exceptional one. We received a surprise anniversary cake with sparkling candles together with a nice message at the end of dinner in Citronella Restaurant on one of the nights. To top that, when we went back to our room, this was superbly decorated with swans made from beach towels and flowers. We were also very pleased with the tshirts with SB logo that we received and the room upgrade. Special mention to Dookun in the Main Restaurant where we dined on the first night. Service from Dookun was great and what a nice person. Special mention also to Vinesh Rao in the Tides Restaurant who treated us so well at lunch time. Food quality at both lunch and dinner were exquisite and breakfast was plentiful and varied. We also really enjoyed the mocktails at check in that was made in front of us. The girl that walked us to our room was very nice too. In addition to the great service, we really enjoyed the adults pool. What a spectacular sunset view we got from that pool. The rooms were kept clean throughout our stay and we liked the big bottles of toiletries which were more than enough for two people. We also enjoyed the bonfire and music by the beach at night. Thank you SB team for making our wedding anniversary a memorable one.

Nice stay but housekeeping need to improve.

Overall good stay.However house keeping can be better. We had to to make repeated calls to get things done on certain occasion..
