Great hotel and location

This is a nice hotel in a very good location. Walkable to everything and has lots of things to do around the area. Close to train station so you can walk over there also.

Older hotel in a great location

This hotel is in a great location on a quiet street within a very short walk to the center. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Why only 3 stars? The rooms are tiny, the whole building is in need of updates, and the beds are quite uncomfortable. Renovation would do this otherwise nice hotel a lot of good.

Great hotel close to trains and all sites

We stayed in this hotel last week, it was an easy walk from the train station and close to the duomo and other sites. It had a beautiful roof terrace with amazing views where you could sit and relax and have a drink. The hotel was a former palace and you could see the beauty throughout. The room where they served breakfast was just incredible the ceilings and the walls were beautiful. Breakfast was very good too!

Empfehlenswert aber verbesserungswürdig

Pros: Dachterrasse
Cons: Qualität des Frühstücks
Location: Nahe Bahnhof, direkt im Stadtzentrum, alles fußläufig erreichbar.
Lage ist super - Bahnhof ist 2 Minuten entfernt, das Stadtzentrum beginnt vor der Hoteltüre. Freundlicher Empfang in der Lobby. Wunderschönes Ambiente. Die Dachterrasse ist fantastisch, der Ausblick märchenhaft. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer - naja, vielleicht ein bisschen ZU sehr auf antik gebeutelt, aber das ist halt Geschmacksache. Verbesserungswürdig ist un-be-dingt das Frühstück, denn davon waren wir heftig enttäuscht, und seine Qualität passte so gar nicht in ein hochklassiges Hotel. Stets die gleichen trockenen Kuchenstücke und Süßgebäcke. Wer es herzhaft wollte, bekam schlabberig-nasses Rührei (etwas ekelhafteres habe ich selten gesehen, habe es nicht angerührt), und eine kleine Auswahl Käse- und Wurstscheiben, die lieblos auf zwei Platten geworfen worden waren. Von ansprechender Anrichtung keine Spur. Einziges Plus das stets reichlich vorhandene frische Obst. Leute, hieran müsst ihr dringend arbeiten! Ich rate derzeit dazu, das Hotel OHNE Frühstück zu wählen und auswärts zu frühstücken!

Fantastisch hotel op een top locatie

Cons: Hou het maar zo zoals het is.
Location: De locatie is ideaal, alles is dichtbij. Onze kamer (509) was op de 5e etage. Daar was het hartstikke rustig terwijl het hotel midden in het centrum l
De ligging van het hotel kan niet beter, midden in het centrum, alle bezienswaardigheden van de oude stad op korte loopafstand. Nog geen 10 minuten lopen vanaf het centraal station en daarheen rijdt rechtstreeks een shuttlebus vanaf het vliegveld in pakweg 20 minuten. In de directe omgeving van het hotel natuurlijk veel restaurants in alle kwaliteiten. Heel veel winkels vlakbij, maar die zijn wel wat duur. Nette sfeervolle kamer op de 5e etage. Heerlijk bed, goede airco, prima uitzicht. En dat uitzicht vanaf het dakterras is fabelachtig mooi. Het hotel ziet er uit als een paleis en ik geloof dat het vroeger ook echt een paleis was. Personeel is erg hulpvaardig en correct. Prima uitgebreid ontbijt. Het houdt niet op. Echt een uitstekend hotel!

Never again

The entrance and foyer are lovely with antique styling. The building itself is old. Check-in was easy and the receptionists was nice. Upon entering our room there was an awful old/stale/moldy smell. We needed to open the windows to air the room, even keeping them open during the night. My husband was even more unhappy as he got bitten by mosquitoes. There was mold in the fridge as well as above the shower. There was no coffee/tea facilities in the room. We didn't even have a box of tissues! We asked reception for an iron and ironing board to be delivered to our room and to our astonishment we were told it wasn't possible as it is a hazard. I have never heard such rubbish in my life!!!!! I was then told I could organize laundry service for my clothes - being picked up that evening... What the hell was I supposed to do? Either sit in my room all day waiting for my clothes to be pressed or walk around town looking like a crumpled sack of potatoes...NOT HAPPY AT ALL. The shower door leaked water which meant there was literally a flood on the bathroom floor every morning. The hairdryer that was also provided did not work. I rang and asked to speak with the manager and always got the run-around. Either they were away or had left for the day etc At check-out we expressed our disappointment. Our details were taken down again and it was promised that all information would be passed on to the manager. We are still waiting for their response.

Dear Mrs. Renata, I am sorry to know that your stay at our hotel did not meet your expectations. I would like to give you some explanations about our services : ironing is not allowed in the rooms for security reasons, but the chambermaid can provide a pressing service on request , or we can send the clothes to the professional external laundry service if needed; as regards coffee/tea facilities, as we do not provide kettles in the room, guests can require pots of hot water all day long at the bar. As for the replacement of box of tissues, they have been brought to your room as soon as you asked for, so for fresh towels any time you required. Because of the leaking in the bathroom, you have been asked to change the room, but you refused our proposal. Front office staff tried to do the best to satisfy your requests, they are always available to assist our clients during their stay and solve the problems whenever they occur, it is a pity it has not been up to what you expected.

Excellent Service

Pros: Staff, facilities, convenience.
We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. Luigi, front desk attendant, was incredibly helpful and nice to us. Other customers were also commenting on how efficient and helpful Luigi had been during their stay. The hotel was located within walking distance to the train station, shops, sites, and restaurants. Facilities were clean and breakfast was great. A fantastic 3-day stay!

Not a room with a view, no window. Overall, satisf

Pros: Rooftop bar
Cons: Being aware beforehand you had a room without a window so you had a chance to upgrade.
Location: Location was superb, near railway and all activities
Wasnt impressed with the room with no window. Staff were outstanding. After the first night the plug was removed from the bath,eventually got it back, 2nd and 3rd days no soap left by cleaner. Rooftop bar was great albeit a bit hot because of the time of year.

I am quite puzzled by your comments on the room, all of our rooms have a window, maybe you refer to a room with the window positioned a little bit higher on the wall facing an internal court, whenever the guest is not happy with the room we always try to find an alternative always offering a free upgrade if available.
