Great locationPosted Sep 23, 2015
Very nice staff and guests. We would stay there again. Finding it on the first day would be a real problem without a good taxi driver or good knowledge of the city. Letting them know when you are arriving is important. You want someone at the desk to let you in.

Wonderful, comfortable stay!Posted Sep 14, 2015
Very close to all the major attractions but in a quiet area. Our room was spacious, quiet & felt grand because of the frescoed walls and extremely high ceilings. Cute common areas for guests. Great a/c, wifi. Staff was friendly and profressional. Definitely one of our favorite stays on our trip!

Et greit bed and breakfast hotell.Posted Jun 30, 2015 on Hotels

Friendly service and central locationPosted Jun 9, 2015 on Hotels
Centrally located in the bustle of Florence. Friendly staff and nice touches like water cooler in the hallway.

Average!Posted May 25, 2015
Cons: TLC Needed
Location: Everything Florence has to offer!
Excellent central location. First night we were shown to the ‘upgraded’ modern room in a different part of the building to the main B&B. This was remedied the next day when we asked to be moved to one of the period frescoed rooms that had originally attracted us to Casa Rovai. While our period room was charming with lovely frescoed ceiling, original features, and period furniture, we felt the décor was a little tired and in need of attention, particularly in the bathroom. Perfunctory breakfast printed on a laminated menu offering a choice of two drinks and 2 breakfasts: fruit /filled croissant/cake or the like. Stephania (front of house) is undoubtedly the star of the show, and could not have been any more helpful, readily assisting with bookings and information. However we felt Casa Rovai lacked the personal touches of a family run establishment that we had expected and experienced elsewhere in Tuscany and Italy. If you want a period room make this clear when you book - modern rooms also available do not appear in publicity material

Putti roomPosted May 21, 2015 on Hotels
This is a friendly guest house adapted from an older private home. There is no elevator and that means there is a set of stairs to navigate. The person at the front desk was very helpful guiding us and answering all our questions. However, she is not there in the late afternoon or evening. the room was large, clean and comfortable, but the shutters need to be closed at night if you do not want to listen to the noise from the nearby restaurant.
