Dirty hotel

Carpeting in bedroom was old, fillty w/ multiple stains, and dusty. Room smelled like cigarettes although it was a non smoking room. Bathroom toilet had black stain rim around it. There was a roach inside bedroom. Room hallways were dusty and poorly maintained . The entire hotel should be closed down for renovations specially for paiting and new carpeting. I would not be staying at another Days Inn franchise again.

Nice hotel close to shopping and food.

Only stayed the night as we were driving back to Florida from New York. The hotel has free breakfast and free wifi and the room was decent. It may have been just our room, but I found the a/c rather noisy and the king-size bed, although comfortable was a bit noisy as well (I tend to toss and turn a bit). The pillows although fluffy were also small and I ended up having my head between two pillows. Good thing my wife has us bring our own pillows, so I went to the car and brought those in and it made a big difference. I was a bit surprised not to find a small fridge or microwave in the room. Many of the hotels that I have stayed in have at least the fridge as a standard item. Maybe I am just spoiled as this is my first stay in many years at a Day Inn. However overall, for an overnight it was comfortable and affordable.

Didn't expect much, but this was unacceptable

Hotel is outdated, dresser drawer wouldn't stay closed had to sit bag in front to keep from hitting leg. Cleaning crew actually left an open unwrapped bar of soap on sink for us to use! Air vent in the bathroom was completely covered in filth. Bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned. I wish I could upload the pictures I took!

roaches, heater broken in room

Pros: The staff was courteous and accommodating.
Cons: everything I stated above
Location: great location, by the mall and a number of restaurants. easy access to the highway. easy access to florence
The heater was broken. The towels had dark brown stains on them. The room was stale. The room smelled bad. I will never go here again.

Smelly room

Pros: Convenient to 95. Had room for trailer.
Cons: All needs updating as above..put mini refrigeraors in all rooms
Location: Near 95..did not go anywhere
We stayed at an overnight on our way home. Reviews didn't look too bad, which I always check first. When we got into our first story room, it smelled, musty I think, like the rug needs replacing. I went to the clerk right away to complain about it. He said to put the air on and it should clear up. Well, we did and once settled in after a 12 hour ride, put on our night clothes and it didn't change. Took the first pillow on the bed and on the bottom was a big wad of hair...uck. Left a note with that on the floor. Some sort of bug ran across the bathroom floor which I squashed. The bed made a lot of noise like the box spring mattress is worn out. Also, no mini refrigerator in the room so could't keep our cooler items cold. All previous hotels in the last 10 days had refrigerators for the same price range. Continental breakfast was adequate. Shower was adequate. Just needs a lot of cleaning up and updating. Would not stay here again.

My first room the TV didn't work and the employee treated me like I was incompetent and you could tell he felt I was a nuisance so I got my room switched. The new room and spots of mold on the walls and ceiling and the bathtub drained very slow which left stuff in the tub. I left for the morning and came back expecting my room straightened up but it wasn’t they forgot about my room. I’ve stayed there before a couple of times but this was the worst experience I’ve had with them. I will have to find a new hotel in the area

The front desk staff were very friendly & helpful. A special thank you to Dante for making sure my mom's TV was working properly! In addition, the room was clean & comfortable!

Good economical clean place

Pros: Clean comfortable great staff
Cons: more ice machines
Both the night and day desk clerks were very helpful and kind and went out of their way to be of assistance. Not something you'll find every where. Hotel was located right off exit, was very clean, had not problems with my service dog stay and everything was very clean. The only thing I was uncomfortable with was that the only ice machine was on the second floor while I was on the first. It was right next to the elevator but the area was not clean at all. I didn't stay for breakfast so I can't speak to that. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. We were lucky as we got a great deal with Expedia and a king non smoking room was only $60. Can't beat that any where. Happy Trails

With better cleaning, could be really fine

The staff at the Days Inn was great, especially Will, who helped us with our reservation. The hotel was sold out, with people going to see the solar eclipse. We didn't use the pool. Had a good breakfast bar included in the price. Really the only thing we would have wanted was a better cleaning of the room. We found a plastic spoon covered in food on the floor near the bed, out in the open so how did they miss that? There was a lot of dirt and possibly mold in the air conditioner unit, which could be a health hazard. The refrigerator barely worked in the room. We know it's South Carolina, with high humidity, so keeping the air conditioner clean should be a priority.
