Pros: The personnel were pleasant and the breakfast was nice - we loved the hot waffles.
Cons: Overall repair/cleaning of room(s) and attention to outside, including the pool.
Location: It was in Florence, SC - we visited Magnolia Mall, went to the lighting of the tree at Broadway on the Beach, and spent 2 days at Sexton's Dental Lab.
Unfortunately we three booked this facility for three nights, based on previous ratings and the low cost. I guess you get what you pay for, but we had just moved from a ocean side hotel suite on Myrtle Beach that cost less than this Econo Lodge. We checked in, but the room wasn't ready, so we sat on the bed while the kind lady finished cleaning; three days we reported the bathroom light was broken (finally they said a ballast had to be ordered); key had to be remade two times to work; found a roach on microwave, one between the beds, and another in the bathroom; trees grown so low we were slapped in the face getting to our car (raining); rooms not cleaned - only trash emptied; too many electrical items plugged into one outlet - fire hazard; mold around the toilet; and bottom of bathtub busted and repaired with something like a mat - but, water leaked onto the floor. We were poolside, so observed the pool coming and going - pool was absolutely horrible (surely wasn't open this summer). Pretty much of a bust of a stay at this hotel. I will never stay at an Econo Lodge again.

Pros: Easy to find and plenty of food choices in the area.
Cons: The room looked recently painted as there were paint specks on the counter. The counter was cracked so it needed to be replaced, but worked.
Easy interstate access and lots of food choices in the area for a variety of tastes. The walls were super thin though so we could hear the neighbors watching tv. They also slammed their door A LOT. Of course, the hotel can't do anything about that and luckily they did stop around 10pm.

The hotel is not new. Many aged features, but the price reflects that aspect. I would say that the room was clean as far as bathroom and main space. I marked it down because I saw a roach on the morning I checked out. The front desk person was not very helpful. She did not locate my second reservation. (I had reserved one room for myself and one for my mother) I showed proof that I had paid and made the reservation. I was told I could pay again if I wanted a room. It was not her problem. She found the reservation after I left the lobby. Sent another guest to get me out of the parking lot. She was quick to blame Expedia.

Not good. alarm clock broken. Door wouldn't close easily. Only warm water from sink. when electric went down couldn't come and go from room as card key no longer working. Appeared fire detector disassembled Hotel sign fell down on car in parking lot with person inside

Convention to Interstate 95

The condition of the motel was very poor. Looked good on the Internet, but poor in reality. The room was dirty and the bathroom hadn't been really cleaned in months if that. The cleaning staff were rude and seemed not to care.

Check in was very prompt. Rooms were nice and clean. Air conditioning worked well. Everything was in order. The only issue was that we were on a non smoking floor but the hallway smelled a little smoky. Otherwise, everything was lovely.
