Great hotel, close to all attractionsPosted Sep 15, 2015
What a great hotel: ideally located, helpful staff, immaculate rooms. Room 208 was the quietist hotel room I've ever stayed in. The service from staff was very good amd we loved the breakfast buffet, where the range was enormous. The hotel's slogan is 'Luxury in Florence' - very appropriate. Just a tiny niggle: horrid loud Muzak in the restaurant - and why do they have it in the corridors?

Central location in FlorencePosted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Location. Clean room and great breakfast. Not quite 5*, aspires to be but needs work.
Cons: Many minor issues which need to be addressed to raise hotel from 4* to 5*.
Location: So many things to do. Iffuzi Gallery,Duomo,Accedemia,Ponte Vecchio,Central Market,Hop on/off tours,Leonardo de Vinci museum,Palazzo Vecchio,etc. etc.
There are so many things to see and do in Florence and this hotel is ideally positioned. Minutes walk from the river, 5mins walk from the Duomo and 15mins walk from the central station. Top tip - for great food and drink in a wonderful atmosphere is the central market upper level food court. Fantastic choice of food and reasonably priced drinks. Booked ahead for Vasari Corridor, Accedemia and "Tuscany in a day", this was a wise move. Tuscany in a day was quite gruelling and a long day. This was not our first visit to Florence and pretty sure it will not be the last, great place for adults - a cultural theme park.

Perfect quiet location, close to local amenitiesPosted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: All the staff at the hotel were helpful and knowledgeable and made our stay pleasant and enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the spa and the massage.
Cons: One thing to consider improving would be the breakfast. Given that they put the same thing out every day, we soon got bored of the choices.
Location: Situated in Piazza Strozzi and Duomo and Bell Tower nearby which has an amazing view. San Lorenzo market and the Old Bridges are also worth a visit.
We arrived in the evening and the check-in was smooth and quick, we were shown to our room which was a basic classic room which was clean and roomy for the two of us. After freshening up, we ventured out for dinner to a restaurant recommended by the front desk called Donnini. It was located in the square close to the hotel and the food was nice and the staff were pleasant. All the amenities are within walking distance with shops and restaurants open till late at night. It is worth mentioning that when planning your trip, it is best to book tickets in advance for places like the the Uffizzi Gallery. I asked the hotel to reserve the tickets prior to our arrival in addition to them booking our time slot for the Leaning Tower of Pisa and arranging our day trip out to Siena. A special thanks to Federica and Elena for organised our trips and tickets during our stay. A little tip when you travel by train. Before getting on the train make sure to have your ticket validated otherwise you will get fine 5Euro per person. There are machines on the platform for validation.
