Very dirty hotel.

Posted Jan 8, 2017
The room was dirty, the bathroom had fungus, the toilet did not work, the towels were dirty and the sheets of the bed were dirty as well. Extremely bad price to quality ratio.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Cavour in Florence!

Posted Dec 29, 2016
Pros: Rooftop bar, views from the hotel room, accommodating staff.
Cons: There was an unpleasant odor inside of the hotel the last 2 days of my stay, but I am unsure from where the smell was coming from.
Location: The Duomo and city center are only 2 blocks from the hotel, and there are many wonderful restaurants and shops nearby.
The hotel accommodations were wonderful, the lobby was beautifully decorated and the rooftop bar views were amazing! My room was perfect overlooking the church belltower and I was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Great location!

Posted Dec 21, 2016
Pros: Location! Staff and rooftop terrace.
Cons: My bed was typically European-- very firm. And my room was very warm, so I slept with the window open.
Location: All major museums are within a few minutes walk. The Bargello is right across the street. Perfect location.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location for all the Florentine sight-seeing. It is a just a few minutes walk to all the major sights and museums, and there are dozens of restaurants and cafes close by as well. Have a drink on their rooftop terrace at sunset--simply lovely. My son lives in Florence and he recommended this hotel, and said it is the best view of the city you don't have climb hundreds of steps to enjoy. I will stay here again, without question.

Super close to the Duomo

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: Roof deck, updated rooms
Cons: Rooms are a bit small
Location: Right near all of the tourist spots, maybe a bit too close
Really nice hotel just a stone's throw from the Duomo. It's also really close to Santa Croce. The rooms were nice and updated, but a bit small. The rest of the hotel is also updated and we found the staff to be quite nice. One of the coolest parts of the hotel is the roof bar. The view is really amazing. The breakfast they served (at an additional cost) was also pretty good - a lot of options.

Central hotel close to Bargello

Posted Nov 17, 2016
Great hotel. Comfortable and very central. Wonderful views from terrace and Yellow Bar well worth a visit. Quite noisy on Saturday night but the rest of the stay was fine. Staff very helpful and polite. It's a must stay in Florence

Last hotel on Italy road trip; would NOT recommend

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: Nothing. This hotel is absolute garbage. Don't fall for the high ratings. The staff are incompetent. The front desk told me to find the ticket office for the bus company when I asked how to get to Pisa. I asked them to call the number, and they told me to walk to the bus station and I could figure it out myself.
Cons: The rooms are old, the breakfast is embarrassing, and the staff is utter ally incompetent and useless.

GraND Hotel Cavour

Posted Nov 11, 2016
Pros: Location to the Duomo
Location: Duomo piazza,
excellent hotel, walking distance to everything! could hear some street noise but I was there in November so the windows were closed so it wasn't terrible. the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again.
