"Beautiful hotel in a great location"
We had a very brief stay at this beautiful hotel. Staff was extremely helpful, which saved us time and stress and improving our whole experience in Florence. Our room was fashionably appointed, clean and comfortable. Access to nearby parking was a big plus.

"Situated in the centre of Florence near the Duomo."
We paid high rates for a Junior Suite in a top hotel and the unexpected upgrade provided 'excellence and perfection'. It was a concern however that the pillows on the settee had 'pictures of dogs'. Was this the suite for specified small handbag sized canines as mentioned in the brochure? As a person allergic to dog hair I kept out of the area! Breakfast provided a wide variety and sufficient to eat but the quality of the fruit was disappointing - it was lacking variety which was out of character with the other cuisine. I returned to the room for an excellent coffee from the coffee machine - spoilt. The cheese was served from the day before and was dry. We had left a Best Western in Liguria which had a far superior breakfast offering - spoilt! Due to an airport 'ground staff' strike we booked in for an extra night and expected a small room. On entering the room there were three steep steps to the right down to the 'bedroom' and a bathroom immediately in front. At night there was a small light available for the toilet area but I am amazed that there was no hand rail, there was a high % of retired' visitors. The 1.5 metre 'walk in' square shower of the first room spoilt me - this one was 800 (or less) x 800 approximately - I am 'norm' so what happened to some would have been amusing. Italians postponed the strike for another day - cunning!

"Not a room with a view, no window. Overall, satisf"
Wasnt impressed with the room with no window. Staff were outstanding. After the first night the plug was removed from the bath, eventually got it back, 2nd and 3rd days no soap left by cleaner. Rooftop bar was great albeit a bit hot because of the time of year.

"Nice hotel"
This hotel has a lot of local color. A neighborhood restaurant is on the ground floor with an outside garden dining room. In the mornings there was usually someone in the "lobby" having a coffee. It was fun walking along the canal to get to the hotel each day, making you feel like you were living among the locals. The room wasn't fancy or anything, but was clean and had everything that we needed. The room had a relatively large bathroom. I would definitely stay there again.

Firenze Number Nine Wellness Hotel

Via dei Conti, 9, Florence 50123 - Map
"Loved Everything About this Hotel but the Bed..."
Firenze Number Nine is a spectacular hotel in the best possible location in the city. I've already recommended the hotel to a friend and plan to stay here again next time I visit Florence. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was my bed. It was a twin bed, which I haven't slept in one since college! I'm not very tall, but I got leg cramps sleeping on it as I'm not used to not having much room to spread out. I realized after the fact that the bed size was a result of the room rate. As I only stayed for two nights, I didn't make an effort to try to change the room. But for my next stay, I will definitely pay closer attention to the description for the room rate. Other than this, I can't say enough about how wonderful the hotel is! I'm very big on small details, and I loved the front desk had all of my information ready for me as soon as I walked through the door. I gave the receptionist my name and she immediately picked up keys for my room and walked me to my room. Rather than try to sell me on tours like most other hotels, she insisted I get comfortable in my room, then come back when I'm ready and she'd answer any questions I have about the city. This is stellar customer service. And the room itself (except for the bed) was wonderful. Make sure you visit the hammam -- complimentary for hotel guests to use. After 10 days traveling through Italy, the two hours I spent in the sauna, steam room and whirlpool was a much needed welcome.
