Nice hotel, but broken air con ruined our stay
Posted Sep 9, 2016
Arrived in Florence and it was 30+ degrees to be told the air condition was broken. The staff were good, and did upgrade our room. However, when arriving in our room the door frame was broken and did not lock properly. I called to reception they came up, but when forcing the door shut it locked. The next day, coming back from a day site seeing, the frame was completely snapped off. Reception changed or room but more time wasted during a short stay. The broken air con was initially supposed to be fixed on Monday, when asking no response other than "should be fixed by the end of the week but you'll be gone by then". So we went up to our room to sweat and sleep in what felt like 100 degrees. No extractor fan in the bathroom, but don't worry we had a fan that blew hot air over us. I will say it is a great location, but everything was tainted by our comfortablness throighout the night. Neither myself or my fiancé slept well for the 5 nights we were there, on top of the broken air con, hard bed, soft pillows....

Thank you very much for your kind review.
Please except our sincere apology for the inconvenience with the Air Conditionng.
At time of your stay the problem was not solved yet. No-one could even imagine we might have had such a big issue with the Air Conditioning System. Even our Head of maintenance who was in charge had not been able to find a solution.
Now everything is fine again. We installed a new AC System to prevent such an inconvenience in the future.
We would hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back for a more overall enjoyable stay.
