The red light on the fire alarm in the room was blinking all night long. I was unable to sleep. It appeared that this was previously an issue, and the hotel only covered it with a piece of white tape, however the light was shining through the tape. When I brought it up to the front desk, the person at the front desk hardly acknowledged it, and didn’t even offer an apology or credit toward the room charges. If this was previously a problem, why didn’t the hotel take this room out of service, and address the problem prior to making the room available for guests.
