The anonymous comment does not allow us to identify the room where you stayed and does not allow us to understand what exactly he is talking about. Why hide, you have the right to express your opinion.We don't understand this statement?: This was an extremely small room for the deluxe room and the balcony advertised was unaccessible.We do not sell rooms under the DeLuxe heading, our rooms are:Basic, Classic, Superior NO DELUXE. We have single and double rooms with a private balcony which is accessed through a large window and on each terrace there is a small table with chairs available to appreciate the atmosphere and the view enjoyed from the rooms with a balcony directly overlooking the Duomo. The size of the rooms is indicated for each room in the room descriptions, we must not deceive anyone, it is not our style, we work openly. Cleaning is carried out every day, however an oversight can happen, the customer should not be ashamed to request a new glass or a new towel which we change every 3 days, this is also reported in the descriptions. We welcome this opportunity to thank all those guests who had a good time staying at Hotel Duomo Florence.

Dear Yana,We are sorry for your negative experience which fortunately is not reflected in other customers, we are thinking that you have chosen the wrong hotel.Sometimes at the entrance to the condominium you may encounter bad odors coming from the dark water deposits which in the historic buildings of all cities were located inside the buildings themselves and not outside. The lift is not very large, it can accommodate 3 people, it is not like those found in steel hospitals, cold and anonymous, it is ancient, made of wood and glass, it is the 74th installed in Florence in 1938, it has its own charm that not everyone can grasp. We checked what you complained about in the room but we did not find that the shower was leaking into the floor, we think that you did not know how to close the shower door which is perfect in closing. The mold complained about is actually a water stain that leaked from a pipe the day before your arrival, we apologize for not having pointed this out, it was promptly repaired and whitewashed and is now perfectly clean. We don't know that to go out onto the balcony of the room with a view of the city's rooftops you need to wear a gas mask!!!! If others report this problem to us we will install a perfume diffuser!!!!

Our staff made a mistake in not explaining that our towel rules are that the bath towel is changed every day for each person and that additional requests are subject to charges, we provided additional towels upon request and did not charge any costs.
