Friendly hotel in the heart of the city.Posted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: Although part of the hotel is modern it blends in with the ancient streets and is just a few yards away from the Ponte Vecchio.
Cons: Better tea and coffee at breakfast - we had to serve ourselves from a machine.
Location: Fantastic location right by the Ponte Vecchio. The Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens are a 5 minute walk , the Uffizi and Duomo, 10 minutes.
The hotel is located right next to the Ponte Vecchio, so perfect for seeing all the main sights and in a very atmospheric setting. Breakfast is on the roof terrace, either inside or out, with views across to the Duomo. Street noise was not a problem as the rooms have good double glazing and air conditioning. Rooms are quite compact but clean and modern with nice toiletries. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was adequate with entertainment provided by two cats, recently acquired to scare the pigeons away on the outdoor terrace. A good choice of hotel for a city break..

Ideal location for points of interestPosted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: Location, helpful staff both on receception and at breakfast and all spoke english, room cleaned every day and toiletries got topped up every day.
Cons: We are English and tea making facilities in room would have made our stay perfect
Location: Hotel is located right next to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, the Uffizi and Pitti Palace is a 5 minute stroll, all other sights could be reached on foot
Wonderful stay, we went for short weekend break which meant that location was paramount to allow us time to see all Florence has to offer. The hotel location was ideal, the Ponte Vecchio bridge is directly in front of you as you leave the hotel. Shops, squares and museums are all within walking distance, as are the numerous shops restaurants and ice cream parlors. If you go in peak season as we did, expect crowds but far less crazy than Oxford Street in the sales ! I would recommend getting tickets prior to your vist for the museums as we did, this cuts out having to stand in long queues. Would definitely recommend Florence its beautiful and I would definitely stay at the Pitta Palace Hotel again. Room you can say was on the small side but we did have a balcony seems not all rooms do, however we did not go to spend time in the room so in all fairness I can say that linen, towels and toiletries were all to a good standard as was the decor.

Overjordisk udsigt over byenPosted Aug 8, 2015

Great hotelPosted Aug 4, 2015
Enjoyed our stay at the Pitti Palace, hotel is conveniently situated just off Ponte Vecchio, which is lively and busy, and only a 10 min walk to the Duomo. The hotel is clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices was excellent. The only downside was the wifi which was impossible to connect to during our stay

Perfect hotel from which to visit FlorencePosted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, views and cool aircon that worked!
Location: Easy walking distance of Galleries, Cathedral complex and train station.
This was the perfect location, just at the end of the Ponte Vecchio, and easy walking distance to the Uffizi Gallery and the Cathedral complex. Eating breakfast on the balcony everyday and overlooking the Duomo was a delight. We went to Michaelangelo's Park; follow the river from the hotel side (in the direction of the Uffizi) until you come to a tower; then go up the hill behind it. The views of Florence were stunning!
