Nice hotel close to Duomo cathedralPosted Aug 31, 2015
Cons: Coffee making facilities in room
Location: Close to Duomo, within walking distance uffizie gallery, academia, bobolie gardens (disappointing)
Nice hotel close to Duomo cathedral and all main points of interest within walking distance. Situated in a quiet street which is a bonus. Staff were very courteous and attentive,(one day out of 6 there was different staff and they weren't as professional).

Great location.Posted Aug 30, 2015
Great location hotel on a quiet street but only 20 minutes walk from train station & only 5 minutes from all the attractions. The staff were faultless and extremely helpful & even printed our return boarding passes. Our room was a simple twin room with the beds put together and it was spacious & comfortable with a large bathroom and amazing shower. Breakfast was simple but enough for me and my partner. Coffee was nice and staff cheerful. My only negative is the noise of the air conditioning in the room. This can't be helped however and was easily solved with ear plugs. Overall, an excellent stay and will reccommend.

Hotel proche centre-ville (10 min à pied)Posted Aug 3, 2015

A hotel with a lots of character.Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Clean and spacious room, helpful staff and the quiet locality of the hotel.
Cons: The quality of breakfast and the Wifi.
Location: Easy walking distance to almost all the main attractions in Florence. It was only a five to ten minute walk to the Cathedral.
The Hotel, behind a plain exterior had lots of period features and had a warm atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and rooms were clean and well kept.

Quiet hotel, peaceful location, close to centrePosted Jul 18, 2015
I had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The room was lovely, clean and had everything I needed and more. It was also very peaceful and quiet, even with the window open, which was a big bonus I didn't expect given how close it is to the sights and shops in the centre. Breakfast was abundant and fresh every day, with fresh fruit and cappuccinos that made me look forward to waking up. Also the courtyard patio with its potted garden was a lovely place to rest after a long hot day. The staff were all lovely to me, even though I speak so little Italian. I will definitely plan my next trip to Florence around availability at this hotel and will recommend it to anyone who asks. Thank you for a great stay!

Close to the old city centre of FlorencePosted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Very welcoming, the staff very helpful & polite, large & comfortable room very interesting historical building & we would definitely return.
Cons: Very little
Location: Within easy walking distance of the main historical sites in the centre of Florence, and lots of restaurants and bars closeby.
We enjoyed our first trip to Florence immensely, fantastic architecture, sculptures and paintings at every turn. The city was so friendly and welcoming, and there was so much choice for eating out, we are already planning our return to see all the buildings and museums we didn't get time to visit.

Gem tucked into a wall in FlorencePosted Jul 7, 2015
If you are looking for the pristine newness of international mass offerings, this would not be for you. If looking for something uniquely comforting, original, J&J Historic House would be that sort of hotel. Think "The Grand Budapest Hotel" on a tiny scale and with paper napkins. Rooms are unique, staff super, and the worn character of the place only endorses the historic claim-not perfect but authentic.

Great City Centre HotelPosted Jul 2, 2015
Location: Visit the markets
The hotel is in a old part of the city and oozes charm, the staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The location is towards the east side of the old city so it was very easy to walk and see almost everything. We stayed in room 7 and it was beautifully laid out with a large walk in shower. It was very quiet and comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends and family. We had a lovely stay. Thank you very much staff and management of the Hotel J and J.
