Magnuson Hotel

Pros: Leaving.
Cons: Maintenance of rooms
The problem was the first room I stayed in the drain in the bathtub didn't work. So they moved me to a second room, and the toilet didn't function. After looking inside, the toilet had been this way a long time, so its apparent the maintenance at this hotel is sub par at best. I will never stay there again. I also don't buy their response that they are about to undergo renovations. that will only help short term if you maintenance is lousy.

Really old motel needs an upgrade Mo elevators . Staff very pleasant. Great location.

Unwanted amenities.

Lets just say my non smoking room came with an ashtray and a fridge with a take out box full of left overs. Definitely some problems with the house keeping there.

Rude staff & filthy rooms

Terrible experience at this place. From the rude person at the desk at check in to the filthy and crumbling room, this place is a mess. If this is the last place you can find to stay at, you will be better off sleeping in your car!

Non smoking room

We booked a non smoking room but were given a smoking room. Bath tub had rust in it. The sheets didn't look or feel like they had been recently replaced since the least guest stayed there. The room was just not clean. If it wasn't so late and we werent so tired and could've gotten a refund, we would have gone somewhere else. It was also extremely hard to find given the directions on their site.

Bed bugs!!!

I got eaten alive! This place is discussing. The staff and manager didn't care. I would recommend to stay somewhere else. Rooms are very old and dirty. Horriable place.

THAT"S A NATURAL BUG!

Cons: Everything. But probably would start with a house cleaning........OF THE STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would encourage all nature lovers to book a night at this insect zoo. Not only will you encounter any number and species of insects, if you are like me, you may have the distinct pleasure to meet the most inefficient and rude desk clerk/entomologist on the planet! It all started when we opened our hotel room door and a spider fell to the floor. I killed it &ensured my wife all would be fine. I should have known better! During the the night I was awaken by her slamming the bathroom door. She told me a huge centipede was in there. A quick beat down with my shoe, and legs were everywhere. Needless to say, we did not get much sleep the rest of the night. When we checked out, that is when we had the (dis) pleasure to meet the desk clerk who majored in rudeness and bug identification in school. I showed him the video of the centipede, (before I smashed it!) and he assured me that he could care less, he would not compensate us for our unpleasant stay, and was rather please to inform me that...THAT IS A NATURAL BUG! His point, (which is lost on anyone with a "natural" amount of grey matter) was that it was not a roach or an "unnatural" bug (!?) which I guess would have caused him to show a bit of concern. About the rudeness...ask Eric the Maintenance Supervisor, when you check in, how he likes to be alerted to a guests' at the counter by a series of finger snaps??? All in all why visit a wildlife sanctuary when you can sleep with them?!! ZERO STARS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!
