The long walkPosted Oct 17, 2015
Lovely hotel set back in park area away from hustle and bustle of historic city centre. Nice 20 minute walk to tourist area. Downhill there but return steep hill. Knew this at the start and bus if you want. Helped burn calories off from paste

Excellent customer servicePosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: Setting, customer service, food, room
Location: Location is beautiful, but not close to city center. It's a relatively short walk to incredible views of the city from above.
Beautiful surroundings, excellent customer service, good food & drinks, very nice rooms, beautiful main building. Wonderful location, but not close to center of city. Center can be accessed by walking or bus.

Nice hotel close to attractions.Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Location,staff,pool,food,garden terrace.
Cons: Some of the carpet could do with replacing.
Location: Bus stop right outside the hotel, frequent service that takes you into the centre, where you can catch a train or bus to wherever Pisa ,Lucca,Siena etc.
My wife and son who just finished university booked The Park Palace Hotel in a triple room for four nights commencing 14th August 15 .This is our second visit to Florence and I must say this hotel did not disappoint. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, but only a 20 minute stroll to The Ponte Vecchio - up hill for part of the way on the return leg!).Bus stop right outside hotel (cost 1.20e for a ticket lasting 90 mins).Plenty of selection for breakfast, scrambled eggs only cooked item. Our room overlooked the pool which was never crowded, plenty of sun beds ,excellent for swimming and relaxing.Food in the restaurant excellent but menus don't change.Staff friendly and very helpful, rooms clean, our room rather dark but you don't spend a great deal of time there, and of course you have lights!Lovely lounge and balcony for dining. No hesitation in recommending this hotel,if you book I'm sure you'll enjoy!

beautiful ..improve menu for perfectionPosted Aug 10, 2015 on Hotels
a most beautiful hotel charming, but really should improve the menu just some simple pasta dishes would make a huge difference to lunch offering, there does not appear to be enough staff serving waited ages for a drink and to give food order. Next day We got a taxi to another restaurant to experience real italian cooking just a block away it had nothing like the ambiance of the Park Palace Hotel and we spent £60 which we would happily have spent at the hotel on the fabulous terrace had the food been better. Could be a destination for food if improvements were made..so romantic

A recommander

Really good hotel with friendly staff. The location was perfect with public transportation and city bus tours 50 meters from the hotel.

Great stay in unique surroundingsPosted Jul 23, 2015 on Hotels
A unique opportunity to stay in a florentine villa that also serves as the Swiss consulate in florence! A bit of a walk to local restaurants and the city centre especially in July when the temperature is pushing 40. (Double any times quoted by the hotel) The swimming pool and walled garden are a bonus in hot weather although there is no pool bar. In summary a great stay although a bit expensive given the hotel and grounds are a bit tired in places.

Very nice hotel and extremely service minded staff. Breakfast was a bit boring, though. A very nice place to stay for a visit to Firenze. Cosy, romantic garden with a lovely pool!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Staff were fantastic. Beautiful buffet breakfast and the meal in the Restaurant was very nice too. Located a bit out of town, but Hop On Hop Off bus stops at the front door. Would have no hestitation in staying here again.
