Not cheap, but worth it

Hilda is quite pricy. But all accommodation in Florence is expensive. And the accommodation at Hilda is of good quality, spacious, quiet and very central - just 200m from the Duomo.
Two small gripes:
1. We would have appreciated an espresso nachine in the apartment - a Nespresso or similar. All there is available is an antiquated kettle you have to put on the electric hob to heat up, plus some Nescafe! Or one of those equally antiquated coffee makers that you put on the hob that boils the coffee. Both are an anathema to someone who likes coffee.
2. It was chilly when we stayed, unseasonably cold. But there was no heating, just cooling from the air-con. Apparently, the system is switched over from cooling to heating at some set date in the Autumn, not determined by the outside temeperature.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. And they had some great restaurant recommendations. Do go to Fishng Lab!

thank you for your review that we greatly appreciate.
We do provide a moka machine for coffee in all our Suites with the exception of the Executive one, that has a Nespresso machine, cause this is how Italians drink coffee at home and how they like it....We think that feeling part of the country adapting to its habits is part of the journey experience, but we of course will consider to add Nespresso machine at least to some other Suite categories.
Heating can switched on when the city council allows us to do so. The authorization came 2 days ago. We do provide portable heaters for those who are cold and A/C can be set off directly from your Suite. During the mid-season is very difficult to match everybody's tastes: with the heating on at the moment we have half hotel complaining for no A/C....and outside is 18°C!
I don't think I can improve the A/C-heating matter becasue this depend on us only partially, but will make sure to improve coffee facilities to at least higher level Suites, so to match everybody's tastes. Thank you for your reccommendations and hope to have you back soon.
