We stayed in this property 9 years ago and it was nice then. It has new ownership and has updated the rooms and is much nicer now. The location is good and convenient but slightly away from the most crowded areas. The rooms are lovely, beds are comfortable and the breakfast is exceptional. The staff helped secure a dinner reservation for us. Everything was great. Highly recommend.

A gem in Florence! So easily getting around the city historic area from La Cada del Ghiberti and at a very reasonable price. The owner, Andreas was like family to us and he certainly came out of his way to help us enjoy our visit to Florence. I would come back and recommend this B&B to anyone.

The hotel is in a great location at the city center. The place was clean, the air conditioner worked great and there were always hot water in the shower which i find extremely important in the winter. The staff were nice and gave me the feeling that i can approach them with anything i need.

Would reccommend anyone coming to florence to book your stay here. Lovely and helpful hosts who always had great suggestions. The rooms were always kept very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious with lots of variety. Not to mention it is located right around the corner from the Duomo. Just a great place to come back to and relax at the end of the day. Will definetly come back again if ever in florence.

An enjoyable stay.
Despite being in the centre of Florence, it was so quiet and relaxing, just what we needed after a busy day sightseeing. Claudio and Christelle were wonderful hosts. They were only to happy to help if you needed information, tours booking and restaurant reservations. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was plentyful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed my stay here!
Great stay for 4 nights there. We requested a single king bed for 2 people and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Air conditioning was very nice and cold there. Owner warned us there might be mosquitoes but we didn't see any while there. Wifi was decent. The breakfast was great, good variety of food including scrambled eggs, croissants, yogurt, espresso drinks, fruits, bread/cheese/ham, cereal, pancakes. The location was really great, 2 mins walk away from the Duomo plaza. Service was great and owner gave good food recommendations, this trattoria around the corner was really nice too.

Great stay!
Very well run place in a nice location close to the Duomo, and about a 10-15 min walk from the train station. Room is very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good too! As a bonus, there’s a nice hot tub/jacuzzi which is great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing and walking. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful find!! Convenient location, right across from hospital/prompt care but remarkably quiet. Everything was sparkling clean and no detail was missed. Highly recommend!!

Dear Guest, we are really sorry that our B&B didn't meet your expectations . Our beds are memory foam , new generation over size 2 mt * 2mt , it is really strange that you didn't appreciate those as all the other guest really enjoy it. Regarding the breakfast choise, you are completely right: we have "ONLY" scrambled eggs as choice for eggs and Claudio upon breakfast explained you also why. Insisting to a thing already explained is really boring: before we had eggs, now we upgrade our offer with scramble eggs. Consider that we are a B&B: our breakfast choice is very nice, better then 3 or 4 stars hotel, considering also that is free. Usually in a 4 star hotel for a scrambled eggs they ask an extra payment of Euro 7.00 at least. All that we offer is free of charge. Next time we suggest you to stay in a 4 stars hotel, with a rate between 250.00 and 450.00 per night, not less then the half that you paid in our B&B. Best Regards

Comfortable room in a great location
This is in a great location near the Duomo, putting everything within walking distance. It is on the first floor, but there is a lift if you need it. The owners were very polite and spoke excellent English. Despite being in a character building, our room was very modern with everything you need, including air-con and wi-fi, and the massive bed was very comfortable. It was also quiet with no street noise. The buffet-style breakfast was filling, and it can be taken either inside or outside on a small terrace. We loved Florence and would easily stay here again on our next visit.

Great place
The location to this hotel was great. It’s in a great area with lots of local shops and sights. The man that runs it stays late to ensure he’s helping his guests. He was extremely helpful. I would stay there again.

Great location
One enters Tourist House Ghilberti through a huge door into a dark foyer. Once we rode the elevator up to the 2nd floor, we were very pleasantly surprised by the friendly layout. The manager/proprietor (Claudio) was extremely helpful all during our stay. Our room was large with nice furnishings; the windows were quadruple paned, eliminating most of any street noise (its just a few blocks from the Duomo). Our room was provided with both TV and internet. We loved the beautiful ceiling. In the mornings, there was a very nice continental breakfast. We are very happy to recommend the Tourist House Ghiberti.

Great place and Claudio is the best.
Very clean, pleasant place with excellent, excellent service. Claudio is outstanding and sees to your every need. Not sure how he does it, but he takes care of everything by himself. Great location, and the breakfast room is like eating in a very good cafe, with Claudio bringing you anything that is missing . Mini bar is even cheaper than store prices.

Welcoming family run small guest house.
Family run, personal attention, gracious staff. They helped in any way possible, and were always there, even though they only have 6 rooms. And the location 2 blocks from the Duomo couldn't be better. Quiet at night.

Amazing B&B right in the heart of the city - around the corner from the dome - but on a quiet enough street. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Spotlessly clean and finished to near perfection. There's a jacuzzi and sauna which looked great but we didn't use and a lovely little, sheltered terrace to eat breakfast. Breakfast was ok, need to invest in semi-skimmed milk tho! ;-) They also have a range of DVDs on offer if you don't fancy going out - but not sure why you wouldn't. Was really much more than we anticipated. Definitely recommend this place!

Great location and room
Tourist House Ghiberti is a great location in Florence and it's easy to walk from the hotel to many of the museums and other attractions in the area. The room was big and clean and the staff were all very friendly.

Breakfasts need some attention.
The breakfasts were 'tired' and lacked any imagination. Not that we wee expecting 5 star etc. It was just a very boring selection and choices. We ate there once and went outside all the other times for breakfast.

Lovely, quiet hotel in the centre of Florence.
It was our first visit to Florence, so during our three-night stay we were exploring the city most of the time, but it was lovely to come back to such a spacious, comfortable room: large bed, lights that could be dimmed, flat-screen television, computer, ample sockets for charging appliances, kettle for coffee and tea, good-sized bathroom. Everything had been thoroughly cleaned and checked. Breakfast was rich in choice with such things as honey and sesame seed cake, fancy croissants, a choice of fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, yogurt, various fruit juices and coffee and tea. It was autumn when we visited, but the outdoor patio would be a good place to sit in the high summer temperatures. The high ceilings in the rooms would also be an advantage in the summer months. The hotel has a sauna and a jacuzzi and shelves of travel guides. The staff are very helpful and friendly and this is a hotel we would certainly like to return to in the future and one which we would highly recommend.

A perfect base for exploring Florence
I initially failed to spot the entrance. For reference it is pretty much opposite the hospital. My room was directly off the reception area and overlooking the hospital courtyard. Being a fairly light sleeper I bought some earplugs and they did the trick. Without them, ambulance siren noise and noise from people in the reception area would have proved annoying and disruptive to sleep. As it is, I slept well in a spacious room and a comfortable bed. Free wifi, a pc in the room, a dvd player and a library of dvds to choose from, books to borrow, a sauna and a hot tub... you can't say that they skimp on the extras. Breakfast was served in a small room of the reception and there was a good selection of food to choose from. The staff were great. Lorenzo in particular was very helpful. The hotel is less than 5 mins walk from the Duomo. It couldn't be better located. You can be at the Uffizi within 15 mins and the Pitti Palace in 20. All of Florence is on your doorstep. I would happily stay at the Tourist House Ghiberti again,

Great Boutique Hotel
